After entering Wangshan Hall and following the senior of the Guhua clan in Genshin Impact, the old man eventually gives players a key to access the archive room of Wangshan Hall. He has no hope of finding anything significant there, but considering the Traveler’s ability, he encourages the protagonist and Paimon to find a secret treasure.
Upon unlocking the gate, players will be greeted with plenty of books that they can read. However, one particular stack will lead to a new task where you must find the secret stashed in the Arcane Archive in Genshin Impact.

How to Find The Secret Stashed In The Arcane Archive In Genshin Impact
To find the secret stashed in the Arcane Archive in Genshin Impact, players simply need to move the colored scrolls onto the same-colored shelf. Here’s how you can do so:
- Use the Adeptal power to move the scrolls around.
- There are four colored shelves and one colorless rack. Utilize the colorless shelf to place the scroll in their proper slots.
- Activate Elemental Sight in Genshin Impact to identify the color of each shelf and scroll.
Once all four scrolls are returned to their respective spots, a small cutscene will begin, which shows the water in the Hall draining down, allowing players to access a route that was previously inaccessible.
From here on, the quest will change into Shrouded Vale, Hidden Hero. You must follow the quest marker, which leads to a Precious Chest in Genshin Impact. Eventually, players will also find a Teleport Waypoint, which makes it easy for people to return to the deeper area of Wangshan Hall later.
Past the Teleport Waypoint, you’ll reach a room with a large circular platform in the middle of it. Investigate the mechanism and touch the stone tablet to start the Wangshan Hall trial. The test is a combat trial, so make sure to prepare a decent Genshin Impact team comp before interacting with the mechanism. Players will earn a Luxurious Chest for completing this task.
The quest will prompt Travelers to keep moving, but players can explore around to unlock other trials, which will grant them an achievement for completing three Guhua trials.
Once done with the mechanism, head deeper into the Wangshan Hall, and you’ll arrive at a cliffside that overlooks beautiful scenery. Here, you’ll find the first out of five available Ancient Swordman's Inscriptions. Of course, finding the other Guhua Swords will reward an achievement, along with the Chests that spawn when players interact with the blades.

Whereas Shrouded Vale, Hidden Hero bestows the following reward:
