After convincing the Aranara that players aren’t a “bad Nara,” a bunch of Genshin Impact quests will pop up in Vanarana. Most of these lead to an Aranara, but one instead comes from a Mysterious Mailbox. Checking out this private property will grant players a “painting” that looks like a treasure map. The image shows the location of a Chest buried somewhere in the area.
Once the first Chest is collected, players will find themselves with a lot more boxes to dig out. All the locations are shown in the paintings in the Mysterious Clipboard section of the Aranyaka. If players wish to find all the buried Chests in the Genshin Impact Mysterious Clipboard paintings, here’s a simple cheat sheet containing all of the locations.
Every Mysterious Clipboard Painting Location In Genshin Impact (Static Views)
The Mysterious Clipboard is a part of the Static Views quest in Genshin Impact. Initially, players will get one painting from the Mysterious Mailbox, then, afterward, checking the Mailbox again will grant up to ten images.
Once players find all ten locations, the next daily reset will grant even more paintings. However, these paintings will not be available in version 3.0. The desert-themed paintings are likely a teaser for the upcoming Sumeru areas.
Finding all the treasure Chests also unlocks a new chapter of the Genshin Impact Aranyaka. Chapter 6 of the Aranyaka reveals a note from the previous owner of the Forest Adventure Journal. This is highly likely the Main Character’s twin.
Mysterious Clipboard Location #1
The first Mysterious Clipboard painting location requires players to proceed to the location shown in the painting task. After finding the first Chest, they should go back to the Mysterious Mailbox to receive the rest of the paintings.
Mysterious Clipboard Location #2
The second Mysterious Clipboard painting is located in Apam Woods, near a small Varuna Contraption.
Mysterious Clipboard Location #3
The third Mysterious Clipboard painting is underground, near the Varuna Contraption that players fix in the Varuna Gatha (Aranyaka chapter 3) questline in Genshin Impact. The area will not be accessible until players follow the quest.
Mysterious Clipboard Location #4
Mysterious Clipboard painting #4 is near Arashakun’s home. Arashakun is the Aranara involved in the Courage is in the Heart Genshin Impact quest.
Mysterious Clipboard Location #5
The next Mysterious Clipboard painting is also locked behind a quest. This time, players must first help Aranakin find the Zohrah Mushroom in the Agnihotra Sutra (Aranyaka chapter 4) questline in Genshin Impact.
Mysterious Clipboard Location #6
The sixth Mysterious Clipboard painting is located in Mawtiyima Forest. To reach it, players simply need to follow the map.
Mysterious Clipboard Location #7
Mysterious Clipboard painting #7 is locked behind another Aranyaka questline. For this one, Travelers should do the Vimana Agama (Aranyaka chapter 5) questline in Genshin Impact to access Royinjan’s secret base near Vimara Village.
Mysterious Clipboard Location #8
The eighth location is also locked behind the Vimana Agama questline, where Ararycan will bring players under Devantaka Mountain.
Mysterious Clipboard Location #9
Mysterious Clipboard painting #9 will only be available after players obtain the Shriveled Seed in the Chasm, so if the painting is unavailable in the Aranyaka, Travelers should find the Shriveled Seed in location #10 first. After getting the Shriveled Seed, players must return to the Mysterious Mailbox to get painting #9 if they don't have it yet.
Mysterious Clipboard painting #9 is located under Vanarana. Players should go to the underground Teleport Waypoint in Genshin Impact Vanarana and drain the water to reveal a Claustroflora (purple flower).
Next, they'll need to use the Vintage Lyre and play the Rhythm of the Beastly Trail to reveal a secret passage. If players haven’t learned the Rhythm, they must first do The Rhythm that Reveals the Beastly Trail quest.
Entering the secret passageway will eventually lead to a room filled with Genshin Impact Chests. However, none of them can be opened yet. To open the Chests in Mysterious Clipboard painting #9 location, Travelers must help Aranara spread throughout Sumeru. After helping a few of them, some Chests will become available, and, after helping all of them, the Luxurious Chest can be claimed.
The owner of the Chests, Araminali, will appear once players reach the area. After a short conversation, the A Conversation with the Treasure Chest Owner achievement will be obtained.
Mysterious Clipboard Location #10
Finding the treasure at location #10 is important since it locks players out from painting #9. To do so, they'll need to go to the mysterious area in the underground Chasm and light up all the Elemental Monuments to unlock the Chest.
To unseal the three Elemental Monuments, players must use their Elemental Sight to find some glowing green leaf on the tree branch. There are three leaves to find, and each one is located across an Elemental Monument. All of the leaves are located on lower ground, so players don’t need to climb to find them.
The Chest contains a Shriveled Seed and opening the loot box grants the People of the Valley of Life achievement.
