While new characters arrive in almost every new Genshin Impact update, players usually have to wait a little longer for a new part of the world to be unlocked.

Genshin Impact version 2.3 will bring two brand new playable characters, Arataki Itto and Gorou. Both of these characters have already been officially revealed on the Genshin Impact Twitter account. However, even though version 2.3 has not arrived yet, new leaks are already emerging about the next update.

Ubatcha1 is one of the most credible Genshin Impact leakers out there, and many players were speculating that a brand new Genshin Impact region called Chasm, which is already present on the current in-game map of Teyvat. However, it seems as though miHoYo's plans have changed and the arrival of Chasm has been delayed once again and players will be able to explore a completely different region by the name Enkanomiya.

However, update 2.4 could still bring new playable characters since the same leaker confirmed that Shenhe and Yunjin will be a part of this update. Multiple Genshin Impact leaks have hinted at the new characters arriving in update 2.4, one of which is Yunjin who will apparently be a brand new four-star character. There are also many rumors claiming that she will be a Dendro character, which means that she would be the first playable character with a Dendro Vision. There are no credible leaks about her weapon of choice, but another credible leaker by the name of Yoimiya has revealed her in-game model. Going by miHoYo's usual release schedule, update 2.4 should arrive around January 5, 2022.

Arataki Itto has been leaked multiple times over the last couple of months, and players will finally have the opportunity to pull for him. When it comes to his Elemental Burst, it will provide a buff for a couple of seconds, similar to Razor's or Beidou's Elemental Burst. The buff will allow his Normal, Charged and Plunged attack to deal Geo damage.

During the duration of his Elemental Burst, his Attack will get increased based on his Defense stat which means that players could find a use for all of those type of artifacts they have previously acquired. The biggest downside of this Elemental Burst is that it will get canceled once Itto leaves the field meaning that players will not be able to quickly swap through their party in order to dish out even more damage.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
