A Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about the new signature weapon that will be used by the upcoming five-star character Emilie, who has been rumored to arrive in update 4.8. The game's playable roster keeps expanding with each update, with the most recent Special Program event confirming the arrival of three new playable units: Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos.

A Genshin Impact Fan creates an informative series of graphics detailing the inspirations for the recently revealed region of Natlan.

Genshin Impact's five-star units and their signature weapons are always featured at the same time in the game's limited character and weapon banners. Even though Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos are yet to officially join the live servers, recent leaks have already revealed more details about a new character named Emilie, who will be joining the playable roster in Version 4.8. When it comes to her rarity, rumors claim that she will be a new five-star character that uses a polearm. A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has given more details about Emilie's signature polearm.

  • Weapon type: Polearm
  • Rarity: 5-star weapon
  • Passive: Increases ATK by 15%. The weapon also has a stacking system that increases the weapon holder's damage output by 10% whenever they trigger the Burning elemental reaction. The number of these passive stacks is limited to 2.

The weapon leaks give more credibility to previous rumors claiming that Emilie will be a new sub-DPS character in Genshin Impact whose kit revolves around Burning. This elemental reaction can be triggered by combining Pyro and Dendro. It applies an AoE effect that deals Pyro damage over time. Even though Burning has been the only Dendro elemental reaction in the game since its release, not many characters have their kits revolve around its effect.

Genshin Impact Version 4.8 Expectations

Genshin Impact Version 4.8 is expected to be the last update before the release of the long-awaited Natlan region in Version 5.0. Going by the game's usual release pattern, players can expect Natlan to drop in late August or early September. Each update before the release of a new region has featured a Summer event, so it won't come as a surprise if HoYoverse continues with the same pattern.

Some players expect to see a Natlan character before the official release, similar to Charlotte, who made her first in-game appearance a couple of months before Fontaine arrived. Apart from Genshin Impact's Pyro Archon Murata, the character that most leakers have mentioned is Xbalanque, and he seems to be the prime candidate to introduce the Traveler to Natlan.
