Genshin Impact is a massive game with an equally massive number of achievements to unlock, the total of which is currently sitting at over 900. Many of the available achievements are hidden from the player's view until they have been unlocked, which requires varying degrees of difficulty. Some hidden achievements, for example, will be unlocked through a natural progression of the game's story (likely hidden to prevent spoilers). However, a good chunk of the hidden achievements are missable due to obscure unlock requirements. We will cover a few of the more hidden Genshin Impact achievements here, along with step-by-step instructions on how to unlock them when necessary.

10 How to unlock the "Nice Boat!" achievement in Genshin Impact

Waverider Genshin Impact

The first hidden achievement, "Nice Boat!," will require the player to have unlocked the Inazuma region of the game. Upon completing Archon Quest Chapter 2: Prologue - Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves, the player will be able to summon a Waverider boat to use for navigating and exploring the waters of Inazuma.

In order to get the "Nice Boat!" achievement, players will need to join co-op mode with another player. From here, both people need to spawn their Waverider nearby and then simply enter and ride the other player's Waverider boat. This should grant the "Nice Boat!" achievement and 5 Primogems. This achievement can potentially happen accidentally, but unless players are already aware of its existence, they are unlikely to accidentally unlock it.

9 How to unlock the "Unswerving" achievement in Genshin Impact

Much like the last achievement, players will need to be in co-op mode for this achievement to be unlocked. Further, while it is not necessary here, the Waverider will come in handy for this achievement as well.

The goal of the "Unswerving" achievement is for the player to navigate to a small island near Liyue's Yaoguang Shoal. The island is noticeable for having a heart-shaped rock formation in the center, which the two players will have to stand inside in order to spawn a chest. Opening the chest will trigger the achievement.

For early players, the way to reach this island was primarily using the free 4* unit Kaeya to create an ice bridge via his elemental skill. However, current players have a lot more options, including simply using a Waverider from the closest Waverider spawn location, which is in Ritou, Inazuma. Should players still like to opt for the ice bridge method or use a character such as the 5* unit Ayaka similarly, those players should head to the teleport location south of Yaoguang Shoal.

8 How to unlock the "Wrath of the Gods" achievement in Genshin Impact

The "Wrath of the Gods" achievement is another achievement that players may stumble upon accidentally, though doing so without knowing about the achievement is unlikely.

In order to unlock this achievement, the player simply has to get struck by lightning. Players should watch for a two-second window where they can visibly see an electric blue glow where lightning is about to strike.

7 How to unlock the "The Bleak Midwinter" achievement in Genshin Impact

Much like the previous achievement, it is very easy to get "The Bleak Midwinter" accidentally, though it requires the player to have failed certain survival mechanics in the game's Dragonspine region. When exploring the mountain known as Dragonspine, players will accumulate stacks of a status called "Sheer Cold," which, when at max, will quickly drain the player's HP.

To prevent this accumulation, players are told to activate heat lamps, follow red-coloured Seelies, and eat cold-reducing food. However, to get the "The Bleak Midwinter" achievement, the player will want to ignore that advice and allow the Sheer Cold to knock out one of their characters.

6 How to unlock the "Untellable Tale" achievement in Genshin Impact

The "Untellable Tale" achievement is arguably one of Genshin Impact's cutest achievements, but it is very easy to accidentally miss as it takes six real-life days to unlock. The achievement also has a prerequisite of having completed the Dragonspine "Lost in the Snow" world quest. Once that prerequisite is met, players should head to the Statue of the Seven located in Dragonspine.

From the statue, players should turn around and head inside the cave ahead of them, and then take the first available right inside the cave in order to reach a green tent and cooking pot. Nearby will be a feeding bowl, and players need to put two Berries inside of it every day for 5 days. On the sixth day, players will find a precious chest that rewards a Crimson Agate and this achievement's completion.

Here's where to find the cooking pot and tent:

5 How to unlock the "The Hunter Becomes The Hunted" achievement in Genshin Impact

Snowboar King in Dragonspine in Genshin Impact

Before leaving Dragonspine, there is one last achievement on this list that takes place there: "The Hunter Becomes The Hunted." Players who have completed the "Ah, Fresh Meat!" Dragonspine World Quest will likely remember The Great Snowboar King, who is the miniboss associated with this World Quest. The "The Hunter Becomes The Hunted" achievement is unlocked by allowing one of your characters to be knocked out by the miniboss, though this is very easy to miss if the player defeated him with ease.

Fortunately, even if this not was unlocked during the scripted encounter with The Great Snowboar King, he can be respawned at any time for a rematch and another chance at the achievement. In order to begin fighting The Great Snowboar King, players should head to the teleport point directly to the North-East of the "Skyfrost Nail" in Dragonspine, and then glide down to the cliff below where three frozen Snowboars will be waiting. Players should then thaw the Snowboars with a Pyro unit and defeat them, which will anger The Great Snowboar King and draw him out to fight. Simply allow The Great Snowboar King to defeat a character to earn the "The Hunter Becomes The Hunted" achievement.

4 How to unlock the "Boared to Death" achievement in Genshin Impact

Boared To Death Achievement Genshin Impact

Players who particularly enjoyed being defeated by The Great Snowboar King are in luck, as the "Boared to Death" achievement will also require allowing a character to be defeated by a furry friend. However, while this achievement is as simple as allowing a boar to defeat a unit, it is important to keep in mind that it must be a "Forest Boar" that defeats the player! Dragonspine's Snowboars will not count for this achievement, and neither will Sumeru's Shroomboars.

An easy way to earn this achievement is to use knock out a character and then revive them with low-quality revival food, which will leave them with around 50 to 150 HP. Then, teleport to the waypoint on the west side of Wuwang Hill, south of Qingce Village (marked in the image above). A boar will automatically ram into the character and kill them.

3 How to unlock the "Step Right Up!" achievement in Genshin Impact

This next achievement will require that players have access to the Enkanomiya subregion of Inazuma, and more specifically, the Evernight Temple part of Enkanomiya. Players should head to the Southern-most teleport point on Evernight Temple during Evernight. From the teleport, turning around and walking towards the destroyed wall will lead to a ghost NPC named Akashi, and talking to him will spawn a gold light for players to stand in.

Upon interacting with the golden light, players will be tasked with shooting a blue dome to the northwest with a bow character. Upon doing so, talking to Akashi again will summon a precious chest and award the "Step Right Up!" achievement.

2 How to unlock the "Oh, So That's How You Fish..." achievement in Genshin Impact

In order to unlock the "Oh, So That's How You Fish..." achievement, players must have already unlocked the fishing system. Assuming that the prerequisites are already completed, this achievement is extremely easy to get once players know what they are doing.

Players should head to any fishing location in the game, and instead of casting their fishing pole ahead of the fish they want to catch, they should instead aim for and hit the fish with their cast. In doing so, players will scare the fish away and be rewarded the "Oh, So That's How You Fish..." achievement.

1 How to unlock the "A Walnut Tree Amidst The Gardens" achievement in Genshin Impact

The final achievement, "A Walnut Tree Amidst The Gardens," is linked to the Sumeru "Memory's Final Chapter" World Quest. However, the World Quest ends without alerting the player that there is still something that they can do. Upon finishing the "Memory's Final Chapter" World Quest, players should skip to the next in-game day via the wait mechanic, and then head back to Khayyam's camp in Mawtiyima Forest.

In order to reach the camp, players should teleport to the teleport point immediately above the word "Mawtiyima" and head towards the tent directly in front of them. Speaking to Khayyam once last time will reward the "A Walnut Tree Amidst The Gardens" achievement as well as complete the "Part IV: Agnihotra Sutra" part of the Forest Adventure Journal.
