While many members of the gaming community are on the edge of their seats in anticipation for the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X this coming week, Genshin Impact players have something just as exciting to look forward to. On November 11, miHoYo plans to release the 1.1 update for the open world RPG that will include many new features and, perhaps more importantly, four new characters. Now it seems that the developer is ready to start generating more excitement as it releases a character trailer for one of the game's new four star characters, Diona.

The trailer gives players some insight into Diona's background and what they can expect from her as a character. Diona will be Genshin Impact's first bow user that utilizes the Cryo element. Diona is bartender at The Cat's Tail, a bar in Monstadt, and she goes out of her way to tell players that her ears and tail are not props. In fact, her cat-like ears and tail are actually signs of her Kätzlein heritage.

As some players might expect considering her background as a mixologist, Diona's abilities appear to inspired by various bartending moves. It looks as though Diona will throw an icy mixer for one of her abilities that will do a massive amount of Cryo damage in an area.

Diona is but one of four new characters that will be coming as part of Genshin Impact's 1.1 update. The update also brings with it two new five star characters in the form of Zhongli and Childe, both of which have played prominent roles in Genshin Impact's Liyue story arc. Currently it is believed that Childe will likely be the first of these two ultra rare characters to be featured on the special event banner. A series of leaked images on the Genshin Impact Reddit is being pointed to as the source for this speculation, however, nothing has been confirmed by miHoYo at this time.

The 1.1 update promises to bring several quality of life changes and new features as well. Players will be able to gain access to handy new gadgets such as a portable teleport waypoint by participating in Genshin Impact's new reputation system. This system will have players participating in weekly quests and bounties in order to bolster their standing with the game's various nations. It seems that between new characters and these changes, miHoYo hopes to make Genshin Impact a long lasting success.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, and mobile devices.
