With Genshin Impact's sizable roster of characters growing with each new patch as the massively popular RPG prepares to welcome its newest character Shenhe, one of the most requested features from fans has been more skins for the game's diverse and unique cast. MiHoYo has only released only four different character skins so far, with two of those arriving with the upcoming 2.4 update. However, recent leaks suggest that more skins for some of the game's most popular characters may be coming not too long after.

Throughout the year plus three months since Genshin Impact's release, the game has welcomed a whole host of new characters with the breakout hit RPG typically welcoming 2-3 new characters each update. While the roster has expanded significantly, skins have been far more infrequent with Barbara and Jean receiving summer-themed skins during the game's Patch 1.6 in June and Keqing and Ningguang receiving formal dresses in the upcoming 2.4 update. Now, leaks may have revealed the next two characters to be receiving their very own skins are Mondstadt's Diluc and Fischl.

A recent post on Chinese insider forum NGA supposedly posted by well-known leaker Uncle DD suggested that the next skins coming to Genshin Impact will feature two of the game's original characters, Diluc. According to a translation from the Genshin Impact Leaks sub-reddit, Diluc and Fischl will both be receiving new skins in future updates with Diluc's suggested to be similar to his skin from Genshin's collab with KFC. The translation also noted that there was not a skin currently in development for Noelle, who also received a skin as part of the promotion.

New skins for Diluc and Fischl would also confirm earlier leaks stating that Genshin Impact's next skins following Keqing and Ningguang would feature characters from the game's Mondstadt region. Diluc plays a major role in the main story of the first region players explore during the game while Fischl was a starring character in the game's first major event, titled Unreconciled Stars. A new Fischl skin could also signal her returning to the game's limited gacha banners where the character has been absent for several months.

With Genshin Impact's 2.4 update set to release this week, plenty of leaks and information has already started to come out about the game's next update in Version 2.5. Genshin Impact recently revealed Yae Miko via Twitter likely confirming her release window for the 2.5 update. Leaks have also come out recently suggesting Raiden Shogun may receive a banner re-run during 2.5. With popular characters returning and long-awaited characters finally arriving, Genshin Impact looks to have an eventful start to its second full year.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development.
