How To Decode This Level's Puzzle In Genshin Impact

genshin impact how to decode this level puzzle

There are three puzzles to decode during the Savior’s Wake quest in Genshin Impact. To decode this level’s puzzle in Genshin Impact, players need to use the Tower of Ipsissimus’s Optical Coupler mechanic. Using a Mechanical Valve, Travelers can rotate the Eliphas Beam Emitters on the Tower’s roof to align them with the Beam Receptors. In Razor's language, this means: rotate the machine on top so that the light touches the orb correctly.

To help ease the journey, here's what each mechanism does:

  • Mechanical Valve: The machine that can be activated with Ball Octopus's skill. It will cause the roof's mechanism to rotate.
  • Eliphas Beam Emitters: The light that shoots from the roof's Mechanical Core to the side of the building.
  • Beam Receptors: The blue orbs that players must touch with the light from the Emitters.

  • Take the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus ability.
  • Rotate the Eliphas Beam Emitter with the Valve until it faces the door with one Beam Receptor.
  • Go to the right side.
  • Defeat the Clowork Meka in Genshin Impact to unlock another switch.
  • Activate the new switch to separate the lower emitter from the roof's mechanic.

By following the previous steps, the mechanic's emitter will automatically align with the receptor, allowing the first door to be opened. Inside the unlocked room, Travelers will find two enemies, the second switch, and an Exquisite chest.

To do so, use the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus ability to turn the lights toward the door’s receptors. Next, take the Hydro Portal to collect the first Root Cycle, then use the switch inside the room to disconnect the roof's mechanism.

To get the second Root Cycle piece:

  • Go back to the Mechanical Valve location.
  • Rotate it with the Octopus ability until the Beam aligns with the left door’s receptor.
  • Wait until the receptors absorb the Beams and unlock the door.
  • Collect the second Root Cycle from inside the unlocked room.
