Genshin Impact includes various pets that appear in the three main regions and unlike other animals, they cannot be killed for food. The two most common types of pets are cats and dogs, and while dogs are much easier to find, cats are often hiding in places that are harder to reach.
Genshin Impact characters have unique sets of skills that often interact with the vast world of Teyvat in many unexpected ways. A new post on the popular Genshin Impact subreddit has revealed an interesting featuring one of the game's animals.
Reddit user poopoo_lova69ebay shared a hilarious video showing that the game's cats can trigger the elemental reaction crystalize. The player uses Zhongli's elemental skill, Dominus Lapidis, to create the popular pillar named Stone Stele. The pillar periodically resonates with other nearby Geo objects dealing elemental damage in the process. Unlike most elemental reactions, Crystallize creates matching Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro Elemental Shards that grant elemental shields of the corresponding element. The video shows that if a cat has an element attached like Hydro, the pillar will create an Elemental Shard for that element.
Fans absolutely loved the video and the thread has already gathered over 5k upvotes. Multiple replies in the comment section point out that it's quite interesting how the cat manages to jump over the pillar's attacks. Some fans claim that you can also hit cats with Genshin Impact healers like Jean in order to proc her healing passive. Crystallize is a unique elemental reaction that can work independently of the all the other elements.
The video once again proves that Zhongli is probably the most useful character in all of Genshin Impact. Even though placing the pillar is one of the strongest abilities in the game, holding the elemental skill button can also one of the strongest shields in the Genshin Impact. The stacked kit is probably the reason why Zhongli often tops the character use rate charts for the infamous Spiral Abyss which the main end-game feature in the game.
In the last couple of months, Genshin Impact players have started an interesting trend of having four Geo characters in the same party. The trend was created after developer HoYoverse introduced the first five-star Geo DPS character, Arataki Itto, and a strong four-star support named Gorou. Players who missed their chance to pull for Itto will have the option to do so very soon as the game revealed that the second banner for the upcoming Genshin Impact Version 2.7 will give Itto his first limited banner re-run.
