Xingqiu is currently one of the most favored Sub-DPS characters in Genshin Impact. This position is well-deserved, considering the Guhua Disciple is useful in many ways. Even after the release of Yelan, who is highly similar to Xingqiu, the Hydro boy remains in the spotlight. This is because, even though Yelan offers far more offensive potential, Xingqiu can provide a lot more defensive value, enough to remove the need for a healer or shielder.
However, for Xingqiu to perform his best in Genshin Impact, one thing players need to ensure is his Elemental Burst's availability. It's crucial for the Guhua Disciple to be able to cast his ultimate as soon as the cooldown ends. Otherwise, he will miss out on both his offense and defense. To ensure this, players need to equip Xingqiu with his best Genshin Impact weapons.
6 Festering Desire
- Primary Stat: 510 ATK
- Secondary Stat: 45.9% Energy Recharge
- R5 Effect
- Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 32%
- Increases Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 12%
Festering Desire is a decent weapon for Xingqiu in Genshin Impact for two reasons. The first is because it boosts his Elemental Skill, which is a hard-hitting skill. The other reason is because of its Energy Recharge passive, which will help Xingqiu unleash his Elemental Burst more often. Sadly, though, this Sword is only available in Genshin Impact 1.2, and there's currently no alternate method to get one.
5 Skyward Blade
- Primary Stat: 608 ATK
- Secondary Stat: 55.1% Energy Recharge
- Effects
- CRIT Rate increased by 4%
- Gains Skypiercing Might upon using an Elemental Burst: Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and Normal and Charged hits deal additional DMG equal to 20% of ATK. Skypiercing Might lasts for 12 seconds.
Just like all other Skyward weapons, Skyward Blade is a top-tier Sword in Genshin Impact. Unfortunately for Xingqiu, he can only benefit from the Sword’s Primary and Secondary Stats. Having 608 Base ATK and 55% Energy Recharge is more than enough to put Xingqiu’s DMG above many Sub-DPS units.
4 Harran Geppaku Futsu
- Primary Stat: 608 ATK
- Secondary Stat: 33.1% CRIT Rate
- Effects
- Obtain 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus
- When other nearby party members use Elemental Skills, the character equipping this weapon will gain 1 Wavespike stack to a maximum of two stacks.
- When the character equipping this weapon uses an Elemental Skill, all stacks of Wavespike will be consumed. Each stack consumed will increase Normal Attack DMG by 20% for 8 seconds.
Harran Geppaku Futsu is good on Xingqiu purely because of its stats. The weapon’s passive increases the wielding character’s Normal Attack by up to 40%, which is not beneficial for Xingqiu. However, everything else fits perfectly with Xingqiu’s kit.
3 Mistsplitter Reforged
- Primary Stat: 674 ATK
- Secondary Stat: 44.1% CRIT DMG
- Effect: Gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements
- Adds Mistsplitter's Emblem: At stack levels 1/2/3, Mistsplitter's Emblem provides an 8/16/28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type. The character will obtain one stack of Mistsplitter's Emblem in each of the following scenarios. Each stack's duration is calculated independently:
- Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5 seconds)
- Casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10 seconds)
- Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full)
As an off-field Sub-DPS unit, Xingqiu is like most other DPS characters. He depends on ATK and CRIT to inflict DMG. Mistsplitter Reforged helps Xingqiu reach the highest damage potential by having a set of great stats and passives.
2 Primordial Jade Cutter
- Primary Stat: 542 ATK
- Secondary Stat: 44.1% CRIT Rate
- Effects:
- HP increased by 20%
- Provides an ATK Bonus based on 1.2% of the wielder's Max HP.
Primordial Jade Cutter is one of the best 5-star Swords in Genshin Impact. Other than its decent Base ATK, Jade Cutter also adds a whopping 44% CRIT Rate to its wielder, which will skyrocket their DMG. For Xingqiu, everything Primordial Jade Cutter offers fits perfectly. Even the weapon’s passive adds 20% HP and further buffs Xingqiu’s ATK%. All in all, Primordial Jade Cutter is a great weapon for Xingqiu in Genshin Impact.
1 Sacrificial Sword
- Primary Stat: 454 ATK
- Secondary Stat: 61.3% Energy Recharge
- R5 Effect: After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has an 80% chance to end its own CD. This only occur once every 16 seconds.
Ever since the release of Genshin Impact, it didn’t take long for players to notice that Sacrificial Sword is the best Sword for Xingqiu. What Xingqiu desperately needs is a way to always have his Elemental Burst ready, since it requires a huge amount of energy. Sacrificial Sword helps Xingqiu by casting his Skill twice to gain double the energy.
The best part is that Xingqiu’s DMG won’t massively drop because of Sacrificial Sword’s low Base ATK and ER Secondary stats. Emblem of Severed Fate gives Xingqiu back some of his lost DMG, which protects Sacrificial from falling off when compared to other Swords.
