Melt is one of the most famous Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact, alongside Vaporize. In order for Melt to occur, players have to combine both Cryo and Pyro elements on one enemy. Melt reactions are divided into two categories of damage, the standard Melt reaction and the reversed-Melt reaction. The first is triggered when Pyro meets Cryo and doubles the damage, while the second, as the name suggests, occurs when Cryo meets Pyro, but, doesn’t add as much damage.
That difference shouldn’t fool players as the best-performing Melt team comps have their Main DPS to be Cryo units in Genshin Impact. One of the main reasons for that is Cryo isn’t strong enough to consume all the Pyro aura when the reaction happens, leaving room for one more reversed-Melt reaction.
5 Ayaka + Nahida + Venti + Bennett
This team has the potential to be among the best teams in Genshin Impact if done right. Once players successfully combine both Venti’s and Ayaka’s Burst, they will deal some insane damage. However, one mistake and the damage falls apart and players have to spend some remarkable time to get them back on track. It’s also worth noting that this Melt team comp is not the best team for Ayaka in Genshin Impact as her best team comp will always be Freeze teams with how well she uses the Blizzard Strayer artifacts set.
To do it right, start with Nahida’s Elemental Skill to mark enemies all over the field. Switch to Bennett and choose a decent place for him to Burst at. Take a few steps away with Venti, leaving enough space between enemies and Bennett’s Inspiration Field. Cast Venti’s Stormeye to infuse it with Pyro as it sucks enemies into its AoE. The continuous Pyro Swirls will keep triggering Nahida’s Elemental Skill, which will keep triggering Burning reactions in Genshin Impact. Now that enemies are Burning, step into Bennett’s Burst and unleash Ayaka’s Elemental Burst and watch as this team continuously abuses the Melt reaction.

4 Hu Tao + Xingqiu + Kazuha + Diona
There is no denying that both Hu Tao and Xingqiu are considered one of the best pairs in Genshin Impact. There are so many combos that can be added to this pair like the addition of double Geo where Zhongli and Albedo work together to increase Hu Tao’s damage while protecting her. There’s also the double Hydro team comp of Xingqiu and Yelan increasing the team’s HP by 25% through their Hydro resonance.
With this combo, players will count on Diona to freeze enemies with the help of Xingqiu and Kazuha in order for Hu Tao to trigger Melt instead of Vaporize during her charged and Burst attacks. One of the best ways to do it is when casting Diona’s Burst to create a Cryo field that will constantly freeze enemies. Switching to Hu Tao to unleash her Elemental Burst will amplify her damage furthermore, especially if Diona had her sixth Constellation open in Genshin Impact, which will add 200 Elemental Mastery to the team. Even if players didn't manage to Melt consistently, the damage from this team comp won't drop terribly as Vaporize Hu Tao with Xingqiu is still incredibly powerful on their own.

3 Ganyu + Zhongli + Xiangling + Bennett
While it’s one of the oldest teams in Genshin Impact, this reverse-Melt team comp still holds its place high among the best teams in the game. The way this team works, Xiangling and Bennett are able to decently apply Pyro while off-field for Ganyu to take full advantage of the fact that every enemy is affected by Pyro. Zhongli serves as a shielder that allows players to comfortably charge Ganyu’s Charged attacks without any interruptions, not to mention, Zhongli’s shield will also shred enemies’ resistance to Pyro and Cryo.

2 Rosaria + Kazuha + Xiangling + Bennett
It’s no surprise to find Xiangling and Bennett are always available in most meta teams in Genshin Impact. The reason behind this is how well they synergize together since Bennett is able to battery Xiangling’s Burst and buff it since it will snapshot and keep all the stats Xiangling had when she unleashed it. In this team comp, it doesn’t matter who triggers Melt between Rosaria or Xiangling since both of them are able to deal some massive damage when the reaction occurs.
Start with Bennett’s Burst and follow it with Kazuha’s Burst inside the Inspiration Field. Now that Xiangling has both insane buffs, cast her Pyronado and quickly switch to Rosaria, and unleash her Elemental Burst as well.

1 Chongyun + Xingqiu + Xiangling + Bennett
This original national team of Chongyun, Xingqiu, Xiangling, and Bennett is not only extremely strong, but it also consists of four 4-star characters that are able to operate as good as 5-star units in Genshin Impact. With Bennett and Xiangling’s strong synergy, players can add Xingqiu and Chongyun’s combo to create a steady Melt team comp in Genshin Impact.
In this team comp, Chongyun is a great Support for this team since he provides his Cryo field to freeze enemies with the help of Xingqiu’s off-field Hydro application. Chongyun is also able to slightly reduce the Cooldown of the team’s Skills and Bursts which will help make the rotations faster and more reliable. Xiangling is the most who suffers from energy, so it’s important to use her as the Main DPS to fully consume all the particles; not to mention she also has the fastest hit, which gives more chance of resetting Internal Cooldown.
