Among the many playable characters in Genshin Impact, the male-female ratio is undoubtedly unequal, as there are about twice as many females. Luckily, though, for those who prefer to collect “husbando,” characters, MiHoYo has done a fantastic job in designing great characters. Fans can expect the number to continuously grow. For example, a new male character, Kamisato Ayato, will soon arrive in Genshin Impact 2.6.
While there aren’t that many male characters, to begin with, some are clearly more ravishing than others. Here are some examples of the best male character design in Genshin Impact.
7 Diluc
Although MiHoYo butchered Diluc’s hair (similar to Albedo’s), the tavern owner’s outfit remains fitting for nobility. His default skin is named Darknight Blaze, a title that suits his black-and-red theme. His coat and pants are dark in color, while his Vision and hair are the blaze of red that spice his color up.
Diluc is a descendant of the Ragnvindr Clan, one of the three most prominent houses of Mondstadt. Thanks to his winery business, Diluc is currently the wealthiest man in the region of Freedom. However, make no mistake. Beneath the cold presentation, the ex-Knight will do anything to protect Mondstadt from threats.
6 Kaedehara Kazuha
Kazuha comes from a noble samurai clan of Inazuma. Alas, bad fortune has caused the Kaedehara clan to collapse, leaving Kazuha without an inheritance. The last straw for the samurai was when his friend was killed after a fight against the representation of Raiden Shogun. Watching the defeat, Kazuha snatched his friend’s Vision, and he has been on the run since.
Like his in-game abilities, Kazuha’s design revolves around maple leaves. His hair is platinum blonde, with an orange-red streak on one part. Over his Japanese-themed outfit, he wears a black and red scarf. Both his coats and pants have maple patterns on them.
5 Arataki Itto
As an Oni, Arataki Itto inherited the qualities Inazuma's yokai have. This includes his red horns, the most eccentric part of Itto's design. To further increase this Oni pride, he tethers an Oni mask on his hip. His outfit is said to have "an uncommon air of awesomeness about it."
As of version 2.6, Arataki Itto is the tallest character in Genshin Impact. He's also the most buff, with clothing that completely reveals his chiseled abdominal muscles. Itto's white hair extends far down his back, colored to red at the tip. This tint also decorates his eyes and some parts of his body. The Oni's Geo Vision is attached to a spiked choker around his neck.
4 Tartaglia
The eleventh of the eleven Fatui Harbingers surely knows how to put on some flair. Unlike his colleagues that prefer to stay in the background, Tartaglia will gladly show off at the front line, drawn to any conflicts available.
Childe wears a gray jacket with a red banner wrapped around his chest and shoulder. The banner extends behind his back, flying free and glowing as he fights with his Hydro sword, adding to that dramatic aptitude. On one side of his head is a red Fatui mask, complementing his orange hair while contrasting his blue eyes.
3 Xiao
When it comes to Xiao, it's most intriguing to think of how he'd look in his Illuminated Beast form. Similar to the animal-shaped Adeptus, Xiao also supposedly has one. Considering his namesake is Alatus and his design is inspired by a Garuda, the most popular theory is that the Yaksha will take a form similar to the winged-deity.
Still, in view of similarities, Xiao has red makeup on his golden eyes, just like Zhongli and Cloud Retainer. His forehead is marked with a purple diamond, while his hair is teal in color. Xiao's Vision is attached to his left glove, whereas his Yaksha mask is adorned on his right hip.
2 Kaeya
Kaeya is undoubtedly one of the most striking characters players will meet at the start of their Genshin Impact journey. His charismatic personality further adds to this, making Kaeya an interesting figure overall.
Though his backstory is still a big mystery, many would agree that his fashion taste is impeccable. His stylish clothes are adorned by a fur collar, showing off his chest among all the wraps. Kaeya wears an eye patch that further adds to this mystery; but unlike Beidou, he's not a pirate (nor is he a descendant of one!)
1 Zhongli
It is said that Rex Lapis, the Geo Archon, has taken many forms, both masculine and feminine. However, despite all the different transformations, they always have the same bright amber eyes. Of course, this feature is most striking on Zhongli, where many would immediately notice his stern expression and the color of his irises. Just like the other Archons, his hair fades to another color at the tips, where his dark brown mane fades to amber. When Zhongli uses his Geo skills, this highlight will also glow.
His clothes match the scheme of his hair, with a brown and amber waistcoat. Zhongli’s left ear is adorned with a tassel earring, and his “Vision” is attached to a chain around his back. Despite all the elegance, fans would be intrigued to know that this outfit is described as a “leisurewear of choice” for the Archon. One can only imagine how his best clothes would look.
