Equipment cards are a special type of Action card found in Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG. Compared to Event and Support cards, Equipment cards can be more difficult to incorporate into decks since the best ones to use depend heavily on the Character cards in play. The concept of these equipment cards mirrors the way players construct their characters in Genshin Impact, by equipping them with artifacts and weapons to enhance their stats and abilities.

Since there must be exactly 30 cards in a player's deck, it may be wise to consider incorporating some of these cards into the deck. Doing so could give players access to increased damage output and fewer dice usage, allowing them to launch multiple attacks in a single round and maximize their offensive capabilities.

Best Weapon Equipment Cards

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation Weapon Equipment Cards

Being the most limiting type of card, Weapon Equipment cards are not particularly popular among players. It is important to remember that Playable Character cards can only equip one Weapon Equipment card of the right weapon time at a time, while Monster Character Cards cannot equip any Weapon Equipment cards.

This type of card features some of the Genshin Impact's Standard Banner Gacha five-star weapons as well as some four-star weapon series such as the Sacrificial weapon series and some other three-star series. If players decide to go ahead with adding Weapon equipment card(s) to their deck, it is recommended to only have one, based on their main DPS character.

Aquila Favonia

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Aquila Favonia
  • Cost: 3 of the same element dice
  • Effect : The character deals +1 DMG. After the opposing character uses a Skill: If the character with this attached is the active character, heal this character for 1 HP. (Max twice per Round)

Aquila Favonia is an incredibly unique Weapon Equipment card, as it is the only one that offers healing capabilities. This makes it a great addition to any player's deck, especially if they are running strong main DPS Characters like Keqing or Ayaka. With Aquila Favonia, these Characters can deal more damage each time, while also being able to heal themselves if they are attacked.

Skyward Harp

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Skyward Harp
  • Cost: 3 of the same element dice
  • Effect : The character deals +1 DMG. Once per Round: This character's Normal Attack deal +1 additional DMG.

The Skyward Harp shares the same effect as other weapons in the Skyward series, allowing players to swap to other weapon types in the same set if their main DPS is another weapon user. However, due to the current meta favoring Genius Invokation catalysts and polearm users for support or to enable elemental reactions, they may not make use of their Normal Attacks as often as bow users such as Yoimiya and Ganyu. This could change with the addition of new characters to the game in the future.

Wolf's Gravestone

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Wolf's Gravestone
  • Cost: 3 of the same element dice
  • Effect: The character deals +1 DMG. Deal +2 additional DMG if the target's remaining HP is equal or less than 6.

Wolf's Gravestone can be an incredibly powerful card when used tactically. When planning to use this card, it is best to use dice to bring down the target's HP and set up elemental reactions in the first rounds. Once the target character has taken some damage, equipping Wolf's Gravestone can bring out a deadly blow in one massive punch. This card can be especially useful for Diluc and Noelle, who can make the most of the Wolf's Gravestone's power to take down enemies quickly.

Best Artifact Equipment Cards

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Artifact Equipment Cards

Artifact Equipment cards are based on various Genshin Impact artifacts and often provide bonuses for a specific element type, such as reduced usage of elemental dice. Interestingly, unlike Weapon Equipment cards, Artifact Cards can be equipped with any Monster Character card of any element, providing an additional benefit if the card is of the same type. However, each character can only have one Artifact card equipped at any given time.

Unlike the actual gameplay in Genshin Impact, players might notice that in Genius Invokation TCG, higher-level artifacts don't necessarily equate to the best option. Element variant artifacts provide the same reduction to elemental dice usage per round, however, higher rarity artifacts also guarantee an initial roll of the Elemental Dice that matches the element of the artifact. While this might be beneficial, the reroll option, as well as having a support card such as the Jade Chamber or simply discarding a card to convert a die to match the character's element, might make it not worth the extra cost of elemental dice. Which Artifact cards to use depend solely on the team you're playing. Along with the Artifact Equipment cards that are tailored to specific elements, there are also some powerful more generic Artifact cards.

Traveling Doctor's Handkerchief

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Artifact Traveling Doctor's Handkerchief
  • Cost: 1 any element die
  • Effect: After a character uses an Elemental Burst: Heal all your characters for 1 HP. (Once per Round)

This Artifact Equipment card is ideal for builds that focus on elemental bursts and those that favor a more defensive play style. With its low activation cost, it can be an invaluable asset to any deck looking to regain some HP, particularly in the mid-game when characters have generated enough energy to use their Elemental Bursts. Decks that utilize characters that require fewer energy points to activate bursts can take advantage of this artifact more quickly and more frequently.

Instructor's Cap

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Artifact Instructor's Cap
  • Cost: 2 any element dice
  • Effect: After a character triggers an Elemental Reaction: Create 1 Elemental Die that matches this Character's Elemental Type. (Max 3 times per Round)

Decks that rely heavily on triggering numerous elemental reactions each round can greatly benefit from this card. By generating up to 3 extra dice, players can make more attacks per round, helping them achieve victory faster. Players should take advantage of this card by swapping between characters as a Fast Action and using cards that let players use fewer dice. Doing so maximizes its utility and allows characters such as Xingqui and Xiangling to take advantage of their burst skills, which deal damage after a certain skill. On the other hand, summons such as Oz and Guoba can't really take advantage of this card since they are only activated at the End Phase.

Adventurer's Bandana

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Artifact Adventurer's Bandana
  • Cost: 1 any element die
  • Effect: After a character uses a Normal Attack: Heal self for 1 HP. (Max 3 times per Round)

With its high healing potential and low cost, Adventurer's Bandana is an ideal choice for players who focus on a single character's normal attack for most of the match. Characters such as Yoimiya can easily utilize this card to ensure they are able to stay in the fight and prevent themselves from being defeated.

Talent Cards Are Also Considered Equipment Cards

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Artifact Talent Cards

Unlike other Equipment Cards, Talent cards can only be obtained by completing the objectives of a Character fight - either a Playable character or a Monster. To use these cards, players must include the related Character in their deck. Similar to other equipment cards, these cards are tailored to specific play styles and characters. Players should not add talent cards for every character in their deck but instead focus on the ones that bring the most value to the game. For example, Ayaka's talent card, with its low cost and utility, could be more beneficial than Rhodeia of Loch's, which requires both energy and a higher cost of elemental dice to activate.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
