Genshin Impact: Claymore Weapon Tier List

Claymore users in Genshin Impact are known for their slow hits, but large multipliers. As the largest weapon in the game, the Claymore has some special characteristics. The most obvious one is its ability to break hard items like Ores or stone shields.

Of course, not all Claymore users are meant to be used offensively. Some of them, like Sayu, are designed to take a supportive role in the party. Whether it's for offense or defense, here's where every Genshin Impact Claymore places on the tier list.

Note: Every weapon passive is written with the effect of Refinement Rank 1 ~ Refinement Rank 5.

S-Tier Claymore

For the S-Tier Claymore in Genshin Impact, these are the best weapons and can be used by almost every Claymore character.

Redhorn Stonethresher	5-Star	542 ATK	88.2% CRIT DMG	DEF is increased by 28~56%. Normal and Charged Attack DMG is increased by 40~80% of DEF.
Serpent Spine	5-Star	510 ATK	27.6% CRIT Rate	Every 4s a character is on the field, they will deal 6~10% more DMG and take 3~2% more DMG. This effect has a maximum of 5 stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by 1 stack when the character takes DMG.

Wolf's Gravestone doesn't only offer high offensive stats, but also a minor buff for the team. This weapon is suitable for both DPS and support units. As for Redhorn Stonethresher and Serpent Spine, they're mostly suitable only for DPS. However, both weapons are universally good for any Claymore damage dealer. Even the Redhorn Stonethresher can be utilized by non-defensive characters.

A-Tier Claymore

A-Tier Claymore is either amazing but niche or great for many but not as good as the top Tier.

Song of Broken Pines	5-Star	741 ATK	20.7% Physical DMG Bonus	Increases ATK by 16~32%. Every 0.3s, when Normal or Charged Attacks hit opponents, gain a stack. When you possess four stacks, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain a buff for 12s, increasing Normal ATK SPD by 12~24% and ATK by 20~40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain any stack for 20s.
Skyward Pride	5-Star	674 ATK	36.8% Energy Recharge	Increases all DMG by 8~16%. After using an Elemental Burst, Normal or Charged Attack, on hit, creates a vacuum blade that does 80~160% of ATK as DMG to opponents along its path. Lasts for 20s or 8 vacuum blades.
Prototype Archaic	4-Star	565 ATK	27.6% ATK	On hit, Normal or Charged Attacks have a 50% chance to deal an additional 240~480% ATK DMG to opponents within a small AoE. Can only occur once every 15s.

The Unforged and Song of Broken Pines are both splendid weapons. However, the former can only be used by a DPS who is always shielded. Meanwhile, Song of Broken Pines is only suitable for Physical Damage dealers like Genshin Impact Eula or Razor.

On the other hand, Skyward Pride and Prototype Archaic can both be wielded by almost everyone. However, they won't perform quite as well as the S-Tier weapons.

B-Tier Claymore

As for B-Tier Claymore, players can expect them to be decent, but each weapon has its own recommended users.

Sacrificial Greatsword	4-Star	565 ATK	30.6% Energy Recharge	After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40~80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30~16s.
Blackcliff Slasher	4-Star	510 ATK	55.1% CRIT DMG	After defeating an opponent, ATK is increased by 12~24% for 30s. This effect has a maximum of 3 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others.
Rainslasher	4-Star	510 ATK	165 Elemental Mastery	Increases DMG against opponents affected by Hydro or Electro by 20~36%.
Luxurious Sea-Lord	4-Star	454 ATK	55.1% ATK	Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 12~24%. When Elemental Burst hits opponents, there is a 100% chance of summoning a huge onrush of tuna that charges and deals 100~200% ATK as AoE DMG. This effect can occur once every 15s.
Lithic Blade	4-Star	510 ATK	41.3% ATK	For every character in the party who hails from Liyue, the character who equips this weapon gains 7~11% ATK increase and 3~7% CRIT Rate increase. This effect stacks up to 4 times.
Katsuragikiri Nagamasa	4-Star	510 ATK	45.9% Energy Recharge	Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 6~12%. After Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the character loses 3 Energy but regenerates 3~5 Energy every 2s for the next 6s. This effect can occur once every 10s. Can be triggered even when the character is not on the field.

Whiteblind is great for defensive characters like Noelle and Arataki Itto. Sacrificial Greatsword can help Elemental Skill-reliant units like Noelle or Chongyun. Blackcliff Slasher is the F2P version of Serpent Spine and Rainslasher is currently only great on Elemental Mastery Sayu.

C-Tier Claymore

C-Tier Claymore currently doesn't have many recommended users.

Opponents affected by Cryo are dealt 200~360% ATK DMG instead by the icicle. Can only occur once every 10s.
Akuoumaru	4-Star	510 ATK	41.3% ATK	For every point of the entire party's combined maximum Energy capacity, the Elemental Burst DMG of the character equipping this weapon is increased by 0.12~0.24%. A maximum of 40~80% increased Elemental Burst DMG can be achieved this way.
Favonius Greatsword	4-Star	454 ATK	61.3% Energy Recharge	CRIT hits have a 60~100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12~6s.
Debate Club	3-Star	401 ATK	35.2% ATK	After using an Elemental Skill, Normal or Charged Attacks, on hit, deal an additional 60~120% ATK DMG in a small area. Effect lasts 15s. DMG can only occur once every 3s.

Snow-Tombed Starsilver is not a bad weapon, but its performance comes really close with Prototype Archaic. Considering Prototype Archaic can be used by almost everyone, Snow-Tombed Starsilver has to settle for a place at the lower part of the list. Akuoumaru can be great in a specific setup, where Burst-reliant like Beidou can use it best.

Favonius weapons in Genshin Impact are usually great, but the Claymore version, Favonius Greatsword, is currently not widely used. Lastly, the 3-Star weapon, Debate Club, should only be used by beginner players.

F-Tier Claymore

For the F-Tier Claymore, there is only one weapon, The Bell. This equipment actually has a lot of potential, but, right now, there is no suitable character for it.

The Bell	4-Star	510 ATK	41.3% HP	Taking DMG generates a shield that absorbs DMG up to 20~32% of max HP. This shield lasts for 10s or until broken, and can only be triggered once every 45s. While protected by a shield, the character gains 12~24% increased DMG.

Genshin Impact is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
