With the long-awaited region of Inazuma looming on the horizon, many eager fans of Genshin Impact have been clamoring to learn the release date of Ayaka Kamisato, a character featured prominently within the recently released trailer for Genshin Impact's 2.0 version update. Newly released information from some of the game's most trusted leakers would imply that fans of the regal swordswoman won't have to wait too much longer.
During the aforementioned trailer, Genshin Impact developers miHoYo revealed a slew of information pertaining to the game's upcoming Inazuma update. Along with teasers to the story that will unfold of the region's "Immortal Shogun" and her quest for "eternity," many new characters were introduced to excited fans of the breakout hit RPG. Among the most notable of these character reveals was that of Ayaka Kamisato, a character who fans have been anticipating since the game's beta in 2019.
During miHoYo's special program revealing the Inazuma update, Ayaka was revealed to be the first character arriving to players during Genshin Impact's Version 2.0 update on July 21.  Ayaka's release date in Genshin Impact was often the topic of speculation over the 10 months since the game's release and now, new information from a prominent leaker in the community revealed the four-star characters who would join Ayaka for her banner's release. According to trusted Genshin Impact leaker abc64, Fellow Cryo character Chongyun, the Geo element Ningguang, and Pyro character Yanfei will be guest starring during Ayaka's hotly anticipated release.
The banner will be Yanfei's first appearance on a limited banner since her release in April. Chongyun and Ningguang will each be making their first appearances in limited banners since Genshin Impact's Version 1.3 in February/March. Ningguang was featured prominently in the first act of the game's main storyline while Yanfei has starred in her own story quest and Chongyun in one of the game's hangout events. These characters are not expected to feature prominently within the new story within Genshin Impact's newest update. Leaker abc64 was quick to note that the details regarding Ayaka's banners are subject to change, as miHoYo has not made any official statements regarding Ayaka's release banner.
Players looking to add any of these characters to their roster or upgrade their constellations should eagerly anticipate the arrival of Genshin Impact's newest banner. Along with heralding the arrival of the first new permanent reason to be added to the game since its release in September 2020, many of the featured characters have not seen increased rates in several months. In addition, Yanfei and Ningguang in particular remain some of Genshin Impact's most powerful DPS options among their four-star counterparts. With the Pyro and Geo elements synergizing well with the banner's lead character, Ayaka, Genshin Impact players can look to build themselves a powerful team off the strength of her banner.
Genshin Impact is available for free now on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch Version has been confirmed with no announced release date.
