While exploring the Realm of Farakhkert, Genshin Impact players may notice a blue exclamation mark west of the Purification Spring domain. The quest itself is located in a tricky place, so it can be confusing to find it. Those who did reach the quest mark, though, will start a quest called An Artist Adrift in Genshin Impact.

In this quest, players will meet an artist called Julien. There are a total of three days players have to go through to finish this quest chain. Since the next quest will only be unlocked after the daily reset, make sure to do the mission daily. Here’s an overview of how players can find Julien, start the An Artist Adrift quest in Genshin Impact, and how to finish it.

The An Artist Adrift quest in Genshin Impact requires three real-time resets to fully complete. Here’s an overview of each daily task.

Day #1 - An Artist Adrift

The first task players will get from Julien in the An Artist Adrift quest is to look for Julien’s luggage in the water. To do this, go to the marked area to the west. Investigate two floating crates, then follow the quest marker to the third spot to find a dog.

Apparently, the dog is called Pepper; the canine is guarding Julien’s belongings. Use Anemo to remove the sand pile near Pepper to reveal Julien’s Drawing Board, which somehow attracts monsters to attack. After eradicating the enemies, go back to Julien and end the quest for the day.

Day #2 - An Artist Adrift

The next day, Paimon will remind the Traveler about Julien. Upon arriving at the camp, however, the artist is not there, so players must go to the marked location. After saving the man from Hilichurls, he will talk about how he went into the nearby cave but left his things when he exits. Here, Genshin Impact players must search the road for the missing sketch.

Retrieve the sketch and return to Julien’s camp and wait for the next daily reset.

Day #3 - An Artist Adrift

On the final day, return to the camp, and eventually, Paimon will offer to guide Julien to a wonderful sight. Now, teleport to the Vourukasha Oasis and watch the artist marvel over the view. After this, players have to go through a little challenge of jumping and gliding; don’t worry too much as it’s pretty straightforward.

At the final spot, Travelers will show Julien a special sight, which can be done by blooming the nearby Sunyata Flower in Genshin Impact. Simply use Sorush and float through the flowers for this.

Once it’s done, Julien will thank the pair for everything, and players will obtain the A Fascinating Journey achievement, which rewards five extra Primogems.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
