Long ago, an anomaly appeared one day in Chenyu Vale that caused distress in Genshin Impact. The anomaly is known as miasma, and it can cause severe headaches and chest pains for normal humans.
Monsters, on the other hand, become more violent when exposed to the miasma. Players need to find all miasma corruption locations in Genshin Impact and take care of the enemies lingering around the area. Upon purifying all areas, you will receive an Achievement that rewards Primogems.

How To Remove Miasma In Genshin Impact
To remove the miasma, players need to defeat the leader of the monsters and purify the source of the miasma using their adeptal energy.
Upon arriving at any corruption site, there will be one lone enemy with a mark on top of their head. That is the leader that you need to defeat. Attacking it will spawn a lot of enemies in Genshin Impact. Defeat the leader and then use the adeptal energy on the miasma branch to cleanse it. There will be multiple waves and miasma branches. Defeat each wave’s leader and cleanse the branches to purify the area.
By ignoring the leader and not cleansing the miasma branch immediately, you will fight endless waves of enemies.
All Seven Miasma Locations In Genshin Impact
There are seven Miasma locations to cleanse in Chenyu Vale and keep in mind that at the final location, players will obtain the Break The Benighting Achievement Genshin Impact. You will also receive a Precious Chest upon purifying each location, except for the final one which rewards a Luxurious Chest.
Miasma Location #1
Head to Chiwang Terrace’s eastern waypoint and run south. Defeat the Geo Samachurl, then the Electro Lawachurl in Genshin Impact and remember to cleanse the miasma branches each wave.
Miasma Location #2
Travel to the Statue of the Seven near Chizhang Wall and glide down west. Take care of the Pyro Slime in the first wave and the Xuanwen Beast in the second one to purify the area.
Miasma Location #3
The third miasma location is found underground northwest of the Chizhang Wall’s Statue of the Seven. Travel to the northwest waypoint and go southeast towards the cave entrance. Defeat the Wooden Shield Hilichurl Guard and then the Cryo Hilichurl Shooter. To cleanse the final miasma branch, kill the Hydro Samachurl.
Miasma Location #4
Fast-travel to Mt. Lingmeng’s central waypoint and glide east. There will be a Hydro Slime in Genshin Impact and then a Geovishap Hatchling. As for the third wave, defeat the Geovishap and use adeptal energy to take care of the miasma branch.
Miasma Location #5
Head to the Yaodie Valley waypoint and glide east to the hill. The first wave will have a Mitachurl as leader and the second one will be a Hydro Samachurl. As for the third and final wave, an Anemo Hilichurl Rogue will spawn.
Miasma Location #6
Go to the waypoint found west of Yaodie Valley and run south to the Mitachurl. A Cryo Samachurl will be the leader in the second wave and finally, a Stonehide Lawachurl will be in the third wave.
Miasma Location #7
The final miasma location is west of Mt. Xuanlian. A Mitachurl will be roaming around the area, and attacking it will spawn the first wave. For the second and final wave, you need to fight a Frostarm Lawachurl.
