A Cliff-Side Hero's Past Quest in Genshin Impact involves an ex-Treasure Hoarder named Tang Wuchou. The man is somewhat ill because he possessed a dangerous item. Tang Wuchou is related to Old Chou, where the two were partners when they were Treasure Hoarders.
Now that the two are retired, they have parted ways. Tang Wuchou is tending to some Qingxin on a cliff, while Old Chou set up a shop in the Surface Chasm. A Cliff-Side Hero's Past Quest in Genshin Impact concerns the two ex-Treasure Hoarders and their old friendship.
A Cliff-Side Hero's Past Quest Walkthrough In Genshin Impact
To trigger the Cliff-Side Hero's Past Quest in Genshin Impact, players have to go to the peak of Cinnabar Cliff. There, there will be a man dressed like a Treasure Hoarder near three Qingxin flowers. Among them is the Flower of Farsight, one of the six Millelith's Treasures needed to complete the Genshin Impact Millennial Mountains Quest.
Pick the Flower of Farsight to trigger a conversation with the man, Tang Wuchou.
Tang Wuchou will get angry because he thinks he owns the flowers. Beat him in a fight to snap him out of his anger.
Paimon will notice that Tang Wuchou is wearing a Smaragdus Jadeite, an item that can be harmful to typical people. Prolonged exposure to this stone has caused the ex-Treasure Hoarder to think that he's a hero of the Guhua Clan. The self-proclaimed hero said that he got this item from his old friend, Old Chou.
To persuade Tang Wuchou to take it off, Paimon will offer him a jewel as large as a bird's egg. However, as the man is unwell, he didn't realize that the Traveler didn’t give him an actual gem.
To ensure no one else is in possession of a Smaragdus Jadeite, check with the Old Chou southeast of the Cinnabar Cliff.
The Strange Store Owner will apologize as he did not know he was hurting Tang Wuchou. As a good gesture, he will offer the Travelers to find a treasure in his game.
Unlike the usual Old Chou Game in Genshin Impact, players can continue digging even if they found a bomb, so don’t worry about failing the quest.
After finding the prize, go back and talk to Old Chou.
Old Chou will ask the players to bring the Bag of Ornaments to Tang Wuchou. When the prompt came, choosing Yeah, let's go back and look for Tang Wuchou… will automatically teleport Travelers to Cinnabar Cliff. Meanwhile, if people choose the second option, they won't get teleported and will have to manually find Tang Wuchou later.
For the last step of A Cliff-Side Hero's Past Quest, give the Bag of Ornaments to Tang Wuchou. Players will get the Jack of No TradesGenshin Impact Achievement, along with 30 Primogems and 30k Mora.
