In the latest Special Program for Genshin Impact, a lot of wonderful news was dropped for players. As always, there are new characters and banners, events, quests, and things for players to explore even outside of the game. The main focus point of the 4.3 program would appear to be a film festival event featuring old Inazuman characters such as Genshin Impact's Yoimiya, Ayato, and Ayaka. Several new characters have also finally made their appearances, such as Navia, Chevreuse, and Chiori.

The new version promises to be full of excitement for players. Not only more excitement, as is natural, but there's been a lot of quality of life updates that fans are sure to adore. The expedition menu has changed to make it easier to claim and send characters back out. The same one-click feature has been added to cooking and forging stations as well. There's also some new events happening outside the game for players to keep an eye out for.

New Characters

The announced banners for this version, Roses and Muskets, will be Navia and Ayaka in the first half and Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya in the second half. Alongside Genshin Impact's Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya, the new four-star Chevreuse will be dropped. She's a polearm user, but her skill and burst both utilize her gun. Except for the Shogun who was not verbally mentioned during the stream, all other characters will be participating in the main event, a film festival. As is expected with a new character release, Navia will have her own Story Quest (Rosa Multiflora) come out with her on release.

New Events

With the new version's events in play, players can finally see the teased Chiori in-game. It was implied she had a role to play in the film festival event, said to be the equivalent of the Windblume festival for Mondstat and the Lantern Rite for Liyue. During this event, players can get a free claymore, presumably for new character, Navia. There are several other mini-games and activity booths that will go on for players to explore during the event's duration. The booths do the following:

  • Allow players to aim and shoot opponents.
  • Perform a fight scene and obtain buffs to use in combat against opponents.
  • Chase away Mekaballs in co-op into player's goal to obtain points.
  • Shoot players' own scenes, potentially across nations but this part isn't too clear yet.

This isn't the only event, of course. Genshin Impact's Itto and Kuki will be in Liyue. Kuki is there for business, but Itto is there to do training with his beetles and take on new opponents. Several other smaller events will be on such as another treasure seelie event for players to pick a new seelie. The new one for this version can follow players underwater. There will also be a combat domain with an old feature coming back where one character must be used in both domains. And as the cherry on top for players, the well-loved Liben is making a return as well.

Quality of Life

Genshin Impact has listened to players with many of its updates. Besides the one mentioned above, there's a huge artifact overhaul. Players can finally auto-tier up as a means of reducing the redundant pop-up screens. The artifact screen on characters will now show recommended sets similarly to the talent upgrade screen that was added a few versions back.

There's also a brand-new filtering system to auto-lock artifacts as players battle through domains - and they can change this filter for each set. Speaking of domains, players will now start right in the center of the Genshin Impact domain to make farming go by faster. This auto-adding for artifacts also applies to character levels, weapon EXP, and refinements. Beyond this, the enemy adventure book has been updated to work better, the crafting and forging menus now recommend appropriate characters, and the strongbox can now be done in batches.

Miscellaneous Additions

Fontaine will finally have its very own teapot for players to explore. Some of the islands have ponds for fish to swim around in. There will be an official TCG Event held between the top 16 players that more news is to be heard about. This isn't the only Genshin Impact TCG news. For players who actively play or collect TCG character cards, several new characters will be coming to the game. The ones shown on the stream are:

  • Lyney and Lynette
  • Signora
  • Dvalin
  • Azhdaha

The livestream also announced that the old Shanghai concert will be available online soon. In addition, the annual Genshin Impact Concert will be coming December 22nd of this year and is said to celebrate music "in a new way." Soon, the new character OST will be available to listen to, featuring long-awaited character themes such as Genshin Impact's Wanderer, Alhaitham, and Furina's themes. At the very end of the stream, they showed but did not discuss a museum collaboration that showed Genshin Impact's Zhongli dressed in what looked similar to his old Archon outfit but had its differences. This is to be expected, since outside collaborations do give characters skins, just not in-game.
