Most Genshin Impact updates bring two separate banner cycles, each of which include one or two five-star and three four-star characters, as well as unique weapon banners. The current Genshin Impact Version 2.6 has introduced a new character, Kamisato Ayato, and two re-runs for Venti and Ayaka.Even though Genshin Impact Version 2.7 has been delayed indefinitely, recent leaks claim that the update should arrive around May 30. Developer HoYoverse has not officially revealed the reason behind the delay, but many fans believe that it's due to the complicated ongoing Covid-19 situation in Shanghai.RELATED: Genshin Impact Video Shows A Creative Way To Fill The Parametric TransformerA new leak by a credible Genshin Impact leaker, Ubatcha1, has revealed a lot of purported information about the upcoming banner. According to the leak, the new Genshin Impact character Yelan will arrive on May 31 and she will be placed in the first part of the update. The banner will apparently include the following characters:

  • Yelan - five-star Hydro bow user
  • Xiao - five-star Anemo polearm user
  • Noelle - four-star Geo claymore user
  • Barbara - four-star Hydro catalyst user
  • Yanfei - four-star Pyro catalyst user

Yelan will be a specific character that has strong DPS capabilities, but unlike many characters in this role, Yelan will be more useful when she is not on the field. Yelan's elemental burst works similar to Xinqui's burst, which creates a set of swords that orbit around the character and deal Hydro damage. Players should probably get her second constellation, as it will grant additional value to her Elemental Burst.

Many fans were surprised to see Xiao mentioned in the leak, considering that he was featured on the first banner of Genshin Impact Version 2.4 which arrived at the start of 2022. Xiao is still considered one of the strongest DPS characters in the game, especially if players manage to unlock his sixth constellation, Conqueror of Evil: Guardian Yaksha. He will appear alongside Yelan on a double banner which means that players can pull for both limited five-star characters in one banner cycle.

A lot of players claim that they will skip this banner due to the weak four-star lineup. Noelle is best fit for the support role since her whole kit is built around her shield that can be transferred to protect other characters. Barbara is a simple Genshin Impact healer who is obtainable for free by completing a couple of quests at the beginning of the game. Yanfei is a great choice for players who want to add a decent Pyro DPS character to their roster.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
