The last couple of Genshin Impact updates have brought the long-awaited Inazuma islands, and it seems as though miHoYo is not planning to stop adding more terrain any time soon. Adding a brand new region is probably the most exciting thing a casual player is looking forward to, especially in the latter stages of the game when there aren't as many events to enjoy.

Genshin Impact version 2.3 will bring two brand new characters, the Geo users Arataki Itto and Gorou. Both of these characters have already been revealed on the official Genshin Impact Version 2.3 Livestream and are scheduled to be released on the second banner cycle.

Update 2.3 has just arrived and players are already hyped about the most recent Genshin Impact 2.4 beta leaks. Even though there is a lot of expectations and hype surrounding the upcoming characters, Shenhe and Yun Jin, the addition of a brand new region by the name Enkanomiya surely stole the show. The new region Enkanomiya leaked a couple of weeks ago but the recent beta leaks pretty much confirm that these rumors are true. A recent leak on Reddit reveals a screenshot featuring Shenhe in front of a tower-like structure which is rumored to be one of Enkanomiya's most important locations.

As mentioned before, update 2.4 will bring two fan-favorite characters, Shenhe and Yun Jin. Both of them are related to the Liyue region which means that they will most likely not be a part of the same banner cycle that will introduce Enkanomiya. The new region will bring 21 teleport waypoints which means that players will be able to acquire a total number of 105 Primogems upon unlocking all of the waypoints. Looking at the map, there doesn't seem to be much horizontal distance between the teleport waypoints which means that there will most likely be much more vertical distance. Enkanomiya could be similar to the Dragonspine region where certain parts of the map consist of multiple layers of playable terrain which require additional teleport waypoints.

There still isn't any new information on what the second banner might bring. It will most likely include another double banner re-run just like its predecessor. Multiple leaks have been hinting that the 2.4 double banner re-run will bring two popular Liyue characters, Ganyu and Xiao. Going by miHoYo's usual update schedule, Genshin Impact update 2.4 should arrive around January 5, 2022.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
