The current Genshin Impact story has so far confirmed that the world of Teyvat is made out of seven main regions. So far players had the option to visit three of those regions with the island of Inazuma being the most recent ones to be unlocked.

Fans were expecting a couple of filler updates since the previous Genshin Impact updates have been filled with a lot of unique content. However, recent Genshin Impact leaks have already revealed more information about a new region named Enkanomiya.

There were multiple rumors over the last couple of days about this unusual region and after a leak revealed the map along with its teleport points, we might have additional information about its type of access. A post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed that the region will work similarly to the limited Archipelago region players had the chance to explore in update 1.6.

The Genshin Impact 1.6 Golden Apple Archipelago region brought a fresh new experience that brought back one of the game's main draws which is exploration. Running around, finding secrets, and exploring the story behind the islands was some of the most enjoyable content players have experienced in the game so far. This region introduced the game's first costumes as well as the first Klee banner re-run. The Archipelago islands were accessible only by using a special type of transport which was a small ship. This travel system could be used in the upcoming Enkanomiya region which would make sense since, in order to travel to Inazuma, players need to set sail.

It should not come as a surprise if miHoYo decided to make Enkanomiya limited only for update 2.4. Making it exclusive will certainly attract more attention from players who wouldn't want to miss out on exploring it. This does not mean that it couldn't make a return in the future to host another type of special event. Enkanomiya will apparently bring 21 teleport waypoints which means that players will be able to acquire a total number of 105 Primogems upon unlocking all of the waypoints. Enkanomiya could be similar to the Dragonspine region where certain parts of the map consist of multiple layers of playable terrain which require additional teleport waypoints.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
