Every Black Friday brings with it a host of notable sales and, occasionally, differentiating hours, including GameStop who has traditionally offered sizable discounts on Black Friday. The retailer has now posted its store hours for Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday ahead of other retailers, preparing gamers for what time they need to head to their nearest GameStop for some attractive discounts.

GameStop, who has recently suffered a major revenue loss, announced their store hours for Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, and the following weekend in a press release. The press release states that GameStop will be one of the first retailers to open for the holiday shopping rush, as it will open with its discounts active at 3:00 PM local time on Thanksgiving Day and stay open until 10:00 PM local time. Meanwhile, the Black Friday sale will start on GameStop's website at 8:00 PM CT on Wednesday, November 27.

The remaining GameStop Black Friday sale store hours, in local time, can be seen below:

Friday, November 29: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Saturday, November 30: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Sunday, December 1: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM

The Black Friday deals from GameStop have not been announced yet. However, past years indicate that retailers like GameStop, Best Buy, and more will soon be announcing which games will be discounted for what consoles.

While GameStop may be on a general downward trajectory, Black Friday is likely to grant the company a little boost. In recent times, it has had to downsize in multiple ways. This would include the termination of several employees at gaming publication Game Informer, who have now started up a venture called MinnMax.

However, GameStop's store redesign had been leaked a while back, which seems to be an effort to generate lost interest in the retailer. The redesign is set to diversify the appearance of stores. For example, while some stores might emphasize esports, others will place a greater emphasis on retro and tabletop games, harkening back to the perceived gaming culture of past decades.

Now that the digital and retail store hours for the Black Friday sale are now out in the open, it would be a good idea to stay tuned regarding the discounts to be seen at GameStop. This is both to prepare a list and prepare consumers' wallets.
