Pikmin 4 is an adorable real-time strategy video game that has the players controlling their little astronaut as they explore a planet that looks similar to Earth. Players rely on tiny Pikmin creatures to help defeat foes and carry the necessary resources back to their base with also the hope of rebuilding their crashed ship in order to make it home.

With the last official Pikmin strategy title releasing on the Wii U in 2013, it has been many years since players have been able to guide the colorful plant creatures on their adventures. With Pikmin 4 expecting to release at some point in 2023, players may wish to enjoy other titles until then and these are by far the best to try in the meantime.

Although there hasn't been a strategy title released for Pikmin in a while, Nintendo have still been keeping the Pikmin love alive through their interesting mobile game Pikmin Bloom. Similar to Pokemon Go, Pikmin Bloom relies on players going for walks and accumulating steps in a hope to grow more Pikmin that can be used to plant flowers or defeat mushrooms.

Due to also being on mobile this has also made it incredibly accessible to anyone that has a phone. This is therefore a great way for a player to grow their Pikmin army and prepare for what may be in store for Pikmin 4.

9 Cult Of The Lamb

In a similar case to Pikmin where a player must take on the role of a leader to guide their tiny Pikmin allies. Cult of the Lamb also allows the player to take on the role of a leader in a more sinister fashion.

Being a cult leader means players must keep their followers entertained and looked after at base while also going out and defeating other elder gods and enemies that dare to get in the way of the player's cult. Not to mention the adorable art style that makes this cult game cuter than many would think it to be.

8 Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

While waiting for this successful Nintendo franchise to release players may also wish to experience the other well-loved games that have survived across various Nintendo platforms. One iconic member of this is the Legend of Zelda that continued to be highly praised with its open world title of the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

With no clear release date in sight for Pikmin 4, players are sure to have enough time to explore the vast and beautiful map of Hyrule, as well as putting an end to Calamity Ganon at their own pace.

7 Lemmings

Classic titles aren't off the table either with Lemmings being another great game for players to try while waiting on the other little creature to appear. With plenty of ports from the original 1991 release there is sure to be a platform that they can experience the puzzle game on.

Lemmings also require players to think strategically as they help the Lemming creatures burrow their way through levels while avoiding obstacles in a hope to make sure a certain number of the tiny creatures make it to the end.

6 Unravel Two

In many of the Pikmin titles, the Pikmin's themselves are not the only small things as the leader themselves is also quite small. This makes everything on the greenery filled planets feel that much larger and this has also been replicated in other games.

Players in Unravel Two take on the role of two yarn creatures, also known as Yarnys as they follow the spark of adventure in this puzzle platformer. Naturally, the world around them is much bigger than the Yarnys which leads to not only an exciting adventure but also many dangers.

5 It Takes Two

Players that are hoping to find a game that they can experience with another that also has a similar vibe to Pikmin is It Takes Two. In action action-adventure platformer players play as a husband and wife who have been turned into dolls after their daughter finds out they are getting a divorce.

While trying to find a way to break the spell, these players must adventure through their home that seems so much more different as tiny dolls in such a big world. Besides the brilliantly unique environment and levels, with the garden resembling Pikmin the story is also something players will fall in love with.

In a way that replicates the classic film Honey I've Shrunk The Kids, a player and even their friends have been shrunk in some sort of experiment and now find themselves trapped in the garden.

One such success is the recently released Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope which unites the forces of Mario and those hilarious Rabbids in a turn-based strategy video game.

Taking off into the galaxy as a team Mario and his new-found friends must work together to find out what mysterious entity is taking over the galaxy. It has even forced the likes of Mario to work with Bowser in a hope to bring back normality.
