From games that pit victims against horrific monsters to multiplayer games with a specific intrigue that brings players to consistently replay them, there are many video games that fans of Texas Chain Saw Massacre will find interest in.

8 Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight may not be the very first game to pit 'hunters' against 'survivors,' but it is, arguably, the first game of its type to become such a worldwide phenomenon. Dead by Daylight inspired many of the survival-horror titles that fans see today, including Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and still is very popular.

Similarly to Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Dead by Daylight has four survivors, but only has one killer. There are multiple killers and survivors, with each character withholding their own abilities and perks. With so many killers that have devastating powers, Dead by Daylight is addictingly difficult to escape as a survivor.

7 Friday The 13th: The Game

As the king of slasher films, it was eminent that the Friday the 13th franchise received its own game (disregarding Killer Puzzle). Friday the 13th: The Game features one player who gets to jump into Jason Voorhees' shoes and run after the other players, who are the Counselors.

The Counselors all have the same goal: To escape from Jason and the campgrounds. There are different ways for Counselors to escape, from fixing up a car and driving off to coming together to take out Jason for good (the most difficult).

6 Predator: Hunting Grounds

Predator, another famous sci-fi slasher-esque film, also was given its own competitive title after Dead by Daylight's success. Predator: Hunting Grounds is a survival game in which a team of militant soldiers is up against the Predator, who is controlled by one of the players.

Predator has a large arsenal of various weapons to use against the opposing team of soldiers, from his famous Smart Disk to his iconic arm blades. While Predator attempts to take out the soldiers, the team is trying to complete several tasks to reach Exfil.

5 Outlast

Shying away from multiplayer games in which opposing teams fight one another, is Outlast. Simply put, Outlast is a single-player survival horror, and one of the best ones at that. Outlast has multiple titles, each focusing on different scenarios and characters.

In the first Outlast game, players take on the role of freelance journalist Miles Upshur, who wanders through a (remote) psychiatric hospital full of secrets and atrocities. Outlast features the 'terror' element in some of the most unique ways, as well as taking influences from previous titles to deliver a magnificently scary experience for fans who dare to play through the game.

4 Phasmophobia

Rather than fighting against one another, players support each other in this multiplayer title, Phasmophobia. Phasmophobia is one of the hottest multiplayer horror titles in the gaming world, as it places players on one of many haunted maps to hunt a ghost.

The goal is for gamers to come together to solve which ghost is haunting the location. This is done by using a variety of ghost-hunting tools like a Spirit Box, EMF Reader, and even a simple thermometer. There are many different types of ghosts for fans to encounter in Phasmophobia, with some being a bit more 'aggressive' than others. When facing these menacing ghosts, players need to be extra careful.

3 In Silence

The monster and two survivors

In Silence offers an immersive and heart-pounding experience within the survival horror genre. Set in a chilling snowy forest, players are thrust into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, divided between survivors and a relentless monster. One of the best aspects of In Silence is its proximity-based voice chat.

This feature means that players (and the monster) can only hear each other when nearby, adding more of a thrilling element to the already terrifying game. In Silence delivers an adrenaline-fueled multiplayer experience that keeps players on the edge of their seats, making it a standout addition to the survival horror gaming landscape.

2 Deceit

In Deceit, a title reminiscent of the likes of Among Us, fans are divided into innocent and infected groups, and players are tasked with unraveling a web of uncertainty to identify who among them can be trusted. With fear management as a central mechanic, Deceit keeps players on edge as they navigate a delicate balance between cooperation and suspicion.

Deceit artfully combines social deduction, psychological manipulation, and survival horror elements to craft an immersive and enigmatic multiplayer experience that challenges players' communication skills, analytical prowess, and ability to maintain composure in the face of lurking threats. With many elements that Texas Chain Saw Massacre withholds, Deceit makes itself to be a captivating choice for fans of Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
