8 Dead by Daylight

7 Friday The 13th: The Game
As the king of slasher films, it was eminent that the Friday the 13th franchise received its own game (disregarding Killer Puzzle). Friday the 13th: The Game features one player who gets to jump into Jason Voorhees' shoes and run after the other players, who are the Counselors.
The Counselors all have the same goal: To escape from Jason and the campgrounds. There are different ways for Counselors to escape, from fixing up a car and driving off to coming together to take out Jason for good (the most difficult).
6 Predator: Hunting Grounds
Predator, another famous sci-fi slasher-esque film, also was given its own competitive title after Dead by Daylight's success. Predator: Hunting Grounds is a survival game in which a team of militant soldiers is up against the Predator, who is controlled by one of the players.
Predator has a large arsenal of various weapons to use against the opposing team of soldiers, from his famous Smart Disk to his iconic arm blades. While Predator attempts to take out the soldiers, the team is trying to complete several tasks to reach Exfil.

Shying away from multiplayer games in which opposing teams fight one another, is Outlast. Simply put, Outlast is a single-player survival horror, and one of the best ones at that. Outlast has multiple titles, each focusing on different scenarios and characters.
In the first Outlast game, players take on the role of freelance journalist Miles Upshur, who wanders through a (remote) psychiatric hospital full of secrets and atrocities.
