A new leak suggests that the 2023 farming sim My Time at Sandrock could make its way to Xbox Game Pass in the near future. This game would be a great addition to Microsoft's gaming subscription service for those interested in cozy, Stardew Valley-like life simulation games. Although it is best to take this information with a grain of salt, the lineup for Xbox Game Pass over the next couple of months could look even more promising with the inclusion of My Time at Sandrock.

As a sequel to My Time at Portia, My Time at Sandrock is a popular life simulation game from Chinese indie developer Pathea Games that came out in early access in 2021 on Steam and received a 1.0 launch for PC and consoles on November 2, 2023. Though the hype surrounding Sandrock's launch was more muted compared to its predecessor, Pathea Games' latest title garnered solid reviews on both Steam and Metacritic, with some considering it an improvement over the original. Despite the acclaim it received, however, My Time at Sandrock was ultimately still a game in a niche genre. As such, some players who are inexperienced with farming sims are hesitant to pay full price for the game to play it, even if they still want to give it a shot. Fortunately, those gamers could be in luck, as they may be able to play My Time at Sandrock on Xbox Game Pass soon.

Xbox Game Pass Reportedly Adding PlayStation Console Exclusive and One Other Game in June

A reliable leaker claims that Xbox Game Pass will be adding a soon-to-be-former PlayStation console exclusive and one other title in June 2024.

According to a post on the r/XboxGamePass subreddit from Reddit user nicksuperdx, Microsoft might've accidentally revealed that My Time at Sandrock is one of the Game Pass games slated for release later this month by mentioning it in a notification on the Xbox GP app. As evidence of their claims, the Redditor shared an image of the message in question. Just like nicksuperdx alleged, the notification they received does indeed suggest that Pathea Games' latest title could join Microsoft's subscription service in the next few weeks, as the farming sim is listed in the photo among other June 2024 Game Pass titles, like Octopath Traveler 2 and Isonzo.

My Time at Sandrock Could Come To Xbox Game Pass Later This Month

If the information in this leak ends up being true, then it wouldn't be the first time that Microsoft has accidentally sent out notifications for Game Pass games before they're formally announced. After all, the company recently made a similar mistake prior to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's official day-one Game Pass reveal. That being said, it's still possible that this notification was a mere error on Xbox's end instead of an actual leak.

Given that My Time at Portia is currently available on Game Pass, though, it'd make sense for the sequel to hit the service eventually as well. Speculation aside, fans will soon find out if My Time at Sandrock is scheduled for an immediate GP release when Microsoft likely ends up announcing Wave 2 of this month's Game Pass lineup on June 18.
