A skilled and dedicated baker posted a video online of a birthday cake they baked for their husband that represents The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The cake itself is extremely detailed and a must-see for any Tears of the Kingdom fan.

One of the main reasons why Tears of the Kingdom is considered a much bigger game than its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, is due to the fact that Hyrule is composed of three different “maps” all rolled into one. Players can explore the original map from Breath of the Wild (which has also been changed in many ways), the large and small islands that populate the sky, and the underground area below Hyrule known as The Depths. In the sky islands, players will find tranquil settings that offer unique, picturesque environments, showcasing the lands of ancient Zonai. In The Depths, players will find an underground realm full of monsters, tunnels, Zonaite, and treasures.

A creative The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fan invents a new way to go up and down rails without relying on a mine cart.

Reddit user cakesbyyou managed to make a birthday cake for their husband that represents all three explorable areas from Tears of the Kingdom at once. In the video posted in the Zelda subreddit, the cake is spun around to show all of the intricate details put into the masterpiece. The bottom of the cake is mostly pitch black, just like The Depths in the game, and is populated with the strange-looking trees and shrubs that are found there. The middle of the cake represents classic Hyrule with its blue sky, vibrant grass, and one of the many shrines that can be found in Tears of the Kingdom. At the top of the cake stands a single, golden-leafed tree that symbolizes the sky islands.

What makes this cake even more impressive are the details and extra thought that was put into its design. For example, the Lightroot at the bottom of the cake actually connects to the shrine on the middle layer, just like in the game, and eagle-eyed fans may notice the Puffshrooms that populate The Depths layer. Puffshrooms are one of the most underrated fuse materials in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and are mostly found in The Depths.

Cakesbyyou explained in the post that they’re trying to grow their YouTube channel and wants to make more Legend of Zelda-themed cakes. Cakesbyyou also mentioned that they’re open to any ideas, so Zelda fans can comment on the post with their thoughts.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
