Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams will forever be remembered as the Stark sisters, Sansa and Arya, in HBO's Game of Thrones. Now, Turner and Williams have both taken on new looks for 2022, and it seems that Turner has gone back to her Game of Thrones roots, while Williams has departed entirely from hers.

Turner, 26, has kept her hair an icy blonde for years, but just recently, she was seen walking around Los Angeles sporting a head of fiery red hair. While the shade of red is a little deeper than Sansa's, the resemblance is close enough to make Game of Thrones fans gush with excitement. Initially, Turner did not post a photo of her new look on Instagram, but she eventually made the reveal in a Louis Vuitton advert where she modeled their latest line of watches. Currently, it's unclear whether the hair color change is just a personal choice or if she's gearing up for an upcoming project (X-Men's Jean Grey, perhaps?).

Williams, 24, also opted for a hair color change, but unlike Turner, she looks noticeably different from her Game of Thrones character. Just this month, her hairstylist took to Instagram and shared a photo of Williams' new icy blonde and brown locks, which has been styled into a chic, banged mullet. Given that she has been making waves in the fashion industry over the past couple of years, it makes sense that she would want a makeover that leaves a lasting impression. However, some fans may be disappointed to see her not rocking Arya Stark's iconic dark brown hair.

Today, Turner and Williams are still close friends despite rumors that the two had a falling out. In a recent interview with Jessie and Lennie Ware on the Table Manners podcast, Williams opened up about her friendship with Turner, saying that the X-Men star was her "favorite person" on the Game of Thrones set and that the job would have been too overwhelming without her there.

Williams also explained that growing up on the show with Turner was a crucial part of her experience on set, as it gave her comfort knowing that there was another person who was going through it all with her at the same time.

Game of Thrones is now streaming on HBO Max.
