The average anime male is quite tough and resilient; they can withstand regular beatings from a tsundere or survive traumatic edgelord backstories. Hardy as they are though, they share the same biological weakness as their real-world male counterparts: they have testicles. And testicles are two of the most fragile things on Earth.

Too bad that doesn't stop certain anime offenders both male and female from targeting this fabled weak spot. Cheap shots via low blows have always been a spectacular standard in comedy, even in action anime— especially in action anime. For viewers who don't mind some dirty fighting, these tried and tested testis terminators will provide a good tip for an unwarranted fight as well as a healthy serving of laughter.

8 "Denji's Descendant Destroyer" In Chainsaw Man

Denji_Aki_kick2_Chainsaw_Man

The latest among the funniest anime marble-mashing examples comes from none other than the Fall 2022 hit, Chainsaw Man. Denji, the protagonist, was just introduced to a smug and cranky devil-hunting partner named Aki; the latter also revealed that he's a competition for Denji when it comes to their prospective girl.

Aki was in the process of bullying Denji, but it's a good thing that Denji was no pushover; he immediately lunged at Aki and gave him a good old-fashioned groin hump-humbling using his shin... repeatedly, until Aki got the point. And since Aki is a human, it's safe to say that he now has a low chance of fathering children in the future, among other spoiler-filled tragedies.

7 "Gintoki's Gonad Genocide" In Gintama

gintama low blow

Gintama has no shortage of comedic masterpieces but the fighting match in episode 197 or so turned Gintoki into the butt-end of the joke yet again, or was it the groin-end? In any case, during the match with Douman, Gintoki was poised to land his rival into an upright spiked club crotch-first.

But Douman immediately disappeared from Gintoki's hands, plunging the latter and his wide-open groin straight down the spiked club instead, annihilating whatever it was located in the nether regions. The even funnier part afterward was that Gintoki's family jewels literally fell off (with the right amount of censorship); he had to dearly fight for them after his rival toyed with his disembodied scrotum.

6 "Samurai Sack Splitter" In Rurouni Kenshin

myojin yahiko first fight

Rurouni Kenshin is full of lopsided "David vs Goliath" fights usually involving the titular character. But Kenshin had enough class and fighting skills to refrain from dishing out low blows. His young protege, Myōjin, however, didn't know how to fight yet in the early parts of the anime, specifically during his introduction.

So when he faced an opponent much bigger and older than him, Myōjin recalled Kenshin's own fighting advice to not match strength with strength. Only, Myōjin's execution lacked finesse since it involved kneeing his opponent's private parts. Technically, it's still a good adherence to Kenshin's fighting advice; all is fair in love and war, after all.

5 "Ding Dong Ditch" In Samurai Flamenco

samurai-flamenco-the-flamenco-girls

Speaking of samurai, Samurai Flamenco offers a different kind. Actually, the samurai here is just a superhero name since this anime involves a bunch of vigilante groups competing for their own brand of justice. One of these groups is the Flamenco Girls, a female idol group by day, ball-busters by night, literally.

Despite their cute appearance, they have a rather violent and cruel way of dealing with criminals. When they caught a lone male criminal on the prowl, this super heroine trio knew well where it hurt the most. So they kept taking turns violently ringing the poor man's "doorbell" using their feet. And "doorbell" is the more apt euphemism here since the anime hilariously replaced the kicking sounds with actual doorbell rings.

4 "Spud On A Spike" In Ixion Saga DT

ixion saga DT spiked boots

Most of the low blows here thus far have been blunt-force traumas. But Ixion Saga DT took low-blow comedy up a notch by introducing spiked boots in this unholy and sudden union between hard and soft objects. On the unfortunate end of this demonstration is a man named Erecpyle Dukakis (a fitting name as far as word plays go).

He's the pompous leader of the Incognito military faction. During one of his fights with Kon Hokaze (the protagonist), Erecpyle was showing off a bit too much in front of Kon who happened to be wearing golden spiked boots. So, Kon saw this golden opportunity and impaled Erecpyle's acorns with his boot spike; such a move unceremoniously ended their fight and denied the audience the chance to see Erecpyle perform.

3 "Ninpou Nutcracker" In Naruto Shippuden

leo-punch naruto's gonads in naruto shippuden

Of course, Naruto would be here; this ninja was quite a prankster in his youth, and what goes around comes around. It sure did go around in one of the filler episodes in Naruto Shippuden when Naruto was on a mission with Sakura; the two were to help a village full of unruly children.

One of the unruly children simply walked up to one of the most powerful ninjas in Konoha and then casually unleashed the more painful, frontal version of the "Thousand Years of Death" Jutsu. Naruto's reaction was surprisingly realistic, writhing and wriggling in pain. Thankfully, the kid didn't do much damage, otherwise, Boruto wouldn't have happened.

2 "Yamcha's Yolk Yeet" In Dragon Ball

Yamcha Vs Hero

There are plenty of low-blow and cheap shot moments in the Dragon Ball franchise, among them is in the unofficial Dragon Ball Z Abridged Movie from Team FourStar's Return of Cooler series. But even that parody wasn't necessary since Dragon Ball was already making fun of its male characters' weaknesses as early as the young, tailed Goku days.

Back then, it was Yamcha who ruined his reputation as a fighter after attempting to fly-kick his tournament opponent. Too bad his opponent ducked and Yamcha's crotch forcefully met his enemy's head, scrambling the whites with the yolk in the process. Yamcha didn't die here yet; what died here instead was his dreams of having a family with Bulma.

1 "One Punch Un-Manned" In One Punch Man

saitama vs sonic

While on the topic of fighting anime, even One Punch Man just couldn't resist the allure of the low blow. During Saitama's fight with Sonic, the ninja supervillain was unleashing all kinds of flashy moves against the bald superhero. And as with all showy enemies, the protagonist always finds a way to ruin their elegant dance.

In this case, Sonic made the same mistake as Yamcha and kicked a little too wide and enthusiastically, landing his crotch on Saitama's fist. Saitama wasn't even aiming for that spot. Needless to say, the fight ended way too early with Sonic retreating with his "tail" tucked between his legs.
