Funko Fusion has been treated to a release date, with 10:10 Games revealing that its upcoming action adventure is set to hit the market on September 13. The announcement was accompanied by the launch of pre-orders for select versions of Funko Fusion, whose physical edition will be distributed in partnership with Skybound Entertainment's gaming division.

The Funko Pop line has yielded over 13,000 figures since its humble beginnings in 2010, back when it was still called Funko Force 2.0. And while many existing Funko Pop models are based on video game characters, the collectible manufacturer has never before had its very own big-budget game.

Following the Funko x 10:10 games partnership announcement at SDCC, the companies confirm their first partner in the new crossover title Funko Fusion.

Funko Fusion Opens Physical Edition Pre-Orders

That all changes on September 13, when Funko Fusion is set to reach PC and consoles. Pre-orders for the physical edition of Funko's first AAA video game are now available at several global retailers, while their digital counterparts are planned to follow shortly. The PC version won't be getting a physical release, which has long been standard practice in game publishing. Other than PC, Funko Fusion is also coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.

Unsurprisingly, the upcoming crossover title won't feature every single Funko Pop figurine made over the last 14 years. But many will be part of the package, and 10:10 Games says it took great care in choosing IPs to include in Funko Fusion. It ultimately decided to base its picks around the idea of representing "every decade," with 10:10 co-founder Arthur Parsons revealing as much to Game ZXC in 2023. The day-one version of Funko Fusion will thus feature figures based on more than 20 franchises, including Back to the Future, Masters of the Universe, The Umbrella Academy, and NBCUniversal's Frankenstein.

Funko Fusion Confirmed IPs List

  • Back to the Future
  • Battlestar Galactica
  • Chucky
  • Frankenstein
  • Invincible
  • Jaws
  • Jurassic World
  • Masters of the Universe
  • Shaun of the Dead
  • The Mummy
  • The Thing
  • The Umbrella Academy
  • The Walking Dead

Funko Fusion Pre-Order Bonuses Include The Walking Dead Characters

10:10 has partnered with Skybound Games to distribute the physical editions of Funko Fusion, with that collaboration being set to yield at least one content benefit in the form of several The Walking Dead characters. For reference, Skybound Entertainment was co-founded by Robert Kirkman, the co-creator of The Walking Dead. Two characters stemming from the partnership, Rick Grimes and Michonne Hawthorne, will be given out as Funko Fusion pre-order bonuses. The freebie pack will also include alternative outfits for both: Rick's Alexandria attire and Michonne's Traveler garb.

Funko Fusion will offer both single-player and online co-op multiplayer for up to five people. The PC version of the crossover title will be distributed via Steam and the Epic Games Store. 10:10 has previously hinted that the title will be treated to post-launch DLC packs.
