The upcoming Harry Potter game based on the extremely popular Wizarding World sport, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, is releasing on September 3rd, 2024, and it will also be available as a day one PlayStation Plus release. While Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions was announced all the way back in April 2023 by Warner Bros. Games.

Just like several other adaptations, fans were initially a bit skeptical about 2023's Hogwarts Legacy. However, the game ended up surpassing all expectations and earning several accolades. Apart from being the highest-grossing game of 2023, Hogwarts Legacy continues to shatter several records. Quite recently, Hogwarts Legacy reclaimed its number-one position in the UK sales chart, overtaking the recently released Paper Mario game which fans have been eagerly looking forward to. Amid that, Warner Bros. Games seems to be keen on capitalizing on the success of Hogwarts Legacy by releasing another game based on the Wizarding World.

During Summer Game Fest, Warner Bros. Games revealed the trailer for the long-awaited Harry Potter:Quidditch Champions. The game will be released on September 3rd, 2024 on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC. Harry Potter:Quidditch Champions will also be available for free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers, which should give the player base a huge boost. Considering that Hogwarts Legacy had a lot of PlayStation-exclusive content as well, it is not quite surprising to see this collaboration.

The only catch is that PS Plus subscribers will only have about a month to claim it, with the deal lasting between September 3 to September 30th. For players who are looking to try it out on other platforms, they can get it for $29.99. Additionally, there is an added bonus for Hogwarts Legacy players as well, as they will be getting an exclusive Legacy Pack comprising Moontrimmer Broom Skin, Sebastian Sallow Hero Skin, Sebastian Sallow Style Wand, Ancient Magic Emblem, and Ancient Magic Celebration.

The absence of Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy was quite a surprise for the community, considering it is a staple part of the franchise. While many fans are eagerly looking forward to the release of Harry Potter:Quidditch Champions, others are of the opinion that it could've been a DLC for Hogwarts Legacy instead. That being said, the PS Plus collaboration is definitely a welcome addition for PlayStation players who have been awaiting the game's release.

Sorting into a Hogwarts house and forging relationships with other characters enable players to master various skills and shape their characters' development.

The game features an original wizarding world adventure set in an unexplored era, where players uncover a hidden truth from the past. Challenging encounters await, such as battles against trolls, Dark Wizards, goblins, and a dangerous villain who poses a threat to the fate of the world.
