The free PlayStation Plus games for February 2023 are available to claim now across PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers. One of the main benefits of Sony's PlayStation Plus subscription service is the opportunity to claim new free games every month. Since the launch of the PlayStation 5 console, the free PS Plus games have typically only consisted of three titles each month, but February 2023 is an exception.

For one reason or another, Sony has decided to sweeten the pot when it comes to the free PS Plus games for February 2023. From now until March 6, PS Plus subscribers have the chance to claim a total of four games for their digital libraries. And unlike the games that are rotated in and out of PS Plus Extra and Premium, PlayStation gamers can keep these games for as long as they are subscribed to the PS Plus service.

The free PS Plus games for February 2023 are Evil Dead: The Game, OlliOlli World, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, and Mafia: Definitive Edition. Evil Dead, OlliOlli World, and Destiny 2: Beyond Light have native PS4 and PS5 versions for fans to choose from, though only a PS4 version of Mafia: Definitive Edition is available. All the games are playable on both PS4 and PS5 regardless, as the PS5 is backward compatible with PS4 games.

  • Evil Dead: The Game (PS4/PS5)
  • OlliOlli World (PS4/PS5)
  • Destiny 2: Beyond Light (PS4/PS5)
  • Mafia: Definitive Edition (PS4)

The free PS Plus games for February 2023 are notable beyond the fact that there's four of them instead of the usual three. Evil Dead is joining the PS Plus lineup just in time for fans to check out the new 40-player battle royale mode. Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available just weeks before the new Destiny 2: Lightfall expansion is launching. And OlliOlli World was one of the highest-rated new game releases of 2022.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is no slouch either. While it may not generate as much excitement as some of its competitors, the Mafia franchise still has its fans, and the original game is often cited as one of the best in the series. PS Plus subscribers will now be able to try it out along with the other free games without paying anything behind their usual subscription fee.

Those who are signed up for the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers should have even more to look forward to this month. Sony has yet to reveal the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for February 2023, but more information on that front should come to light soon.
