The Forza Motorsport team recently revealed the PC specs for the game, which will be out on October 10 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Forza Motorsport is a racing simulator from the same franchise as the popular Forza Horizon 5, an excellent open-world game for fans of vehicle customization, and many racing fans are excited about its release.

The Forza franchise started with the first Forza Motorsport back in 2005 and after several installments, as well as the popular Forza Horizon spin-off, the mainline series is coming back with a reboot in 2023. The racing game has a hardcore simulation vibe, and Forza Motorsport will be available for Game Pass on day one.

Players who want to play Forza Motorsport will need to have at least 8 GB of RAM, and an i5-8400 or a Ryzen 5 1600 coupled with GTX 1060 or RX 5500 XT GPUs. These are for the Low specs, though, and won’t allow the best resolutions. The recommended specs for High settings include an i5-11600k or a Ryzen 5 5600X with an RTX 2080 Ti or an RX 6800 XT GPU and 16 GB of RAM. However, players who want to play in 4K and take full advantage of the cutting-edge technology of the game will need a beefy computer. The ideal specs, which are for Ultra settings, include an i7-11700k or Ryzen 7 5800X, and powerful GPUs like the RTX 4080 or the RX 7900XT. In all cases, at least 130 GB of free SSD space is required to install the game.

During the announcement, the devs also unveiled more information about the new Nurburgring GP, which is a very famous real-life course in Nurburg, Germany. Together with the realistic dirt mechanics in Forza Motorsport and complex vehicle customization, these real-life tracks will likely help gamers to get a very immersive experience while playing.

Despite its realistic graphics and hardcore simulation mechanics, it seems that Forza Motorsport will be out lacking some important features that previous games of the franchise had. For instance, the title will not be released with a spectator mode, AI racing for multiplayer, or split-screen. This showcases an online focus on the game’s multiplayer experience, which may be unfortunate for folks who wanted to play with friends in their homes. However, the official statements only say these features won’t be available “at launch,” so there’s hope that they may be eventually added.

Forza Motorsport will launch on October 10 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
