There are lots of customization options in Forza Horizon 5, including the ability to change the horn sound on cars. Players who want to have a little fun can honk out the theme to Halo, or simulate the Microsoft Teams notification, amongst many more options.
While Playground Games' arcade-style driving sim may be good at giving players lots of customization options, it's not very clear on exactly how to perform actions - like how to honk in Forza Horizon 5. To show off that Doom theme in all its glory, players only need to press one button.
How to Honk in Forza Horizon 5
To honk in Forza Horizon 5 and hear the currently selected Car Horn, players need to click the R3 button on controllers, or press H on PC. H is the default key binding for PC players. If it has been changed, players should check their personal settings to see what key they have mapped honking to. Some Car Horns, like the Halo theme song, need players to keep the button held down to hear the full track.
Honking is a great way to have fun while playing multiplayer in Forza Horizon 5. There are even two pitches of the Doom theme song available, meaning friends can combine their horns and hear both versions at the same time.

How to Change Car Horn in Forza Horizon 5
To change the car horn sound in Forza Horizon 5, players need to pause the game and select "Car Horn" from the "Cars" tab. This will show the full list of available Car Horns in the game, with a padlock symbol beside all sounds that haven't been unlocked yet. All horns can be previewed before they have been unlocked.
Each honk in Forza Horizon 5 has a certain status attached to it, like "Common", "Rare", and "Legendary". This indicates how difficult the Car Horn is to obtain, and what price it will be listed in the Forzathon Shop when it makes an appearance. All video game theme songs are Legendary, making them the hardest Car Horns to obtain in the game.
Forza Horizon 5 is out now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
