The Marvel-themed season of Fortnite content has been going strong for some time now, with fans about to get to work on unlocking another hero to fight with. The character is none other than Wolverine, and he has received a trailer of his own to go with his inclusion in the Fortnite battle pass.

While many Fortnite players have been walking around as the recently added vampire slayer Blade, there is likely to be a sharp increase of players in the Wolverine skin. As mentioned in a post on the official Fortnite Twitter, Wolverine’s battle pass challenges can now be completed, and his skin can be unlocked in-game. The trailer attached to the post is short but sweet, indicating that Wolvie was one of the heroes that got a bit more love from Epic Games.

Within the trailer, Wolverine can be seen wearing his classic yellow and brown outfit, though the blue and yellow variant will also be available and, eventually, the leaked Logan skin. The hero is confused by his surroundings but has no time to adjust as he is approached by a half-dozen Fortnite characters wielding weapons. The hero wastes no time pulling out his claws, though one comes out first in a comical moment. When the other pops out, though, Wolverine dives at the camera in the hero’s traditional style.

Wolverine has been one of the most anticipated additions to Fortnite, and with the character finally joining the hero roster, Fortnite’s pool of Marvel characters is growing more limited. With Venom coming to Fortnite soon and likely bringing his adversary Spider-Man with him, only some prominent members of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are missing. With the Galactus trailer tease hinting at a huge battle with the world-eater, fans will need every Marvel character they can get on their side.

Whichever Marvel characters are added to Fortnite next will likely be used in some clever ways, however, as fans have been making them fight one another for some time now. Wolverine has already done battle with Iron Man, for example, despite not being in the game as a skin until now. To pull off this feat, players made the Wolverine AI aggressive to them and lured him all the way to Stark Industries where Iron Man is. The two heroes fought each other in an epic one-on-one encounter, which was certainly a rewarding sight for the players that put in all the work to make the meetup happen.

Fortnite’s Marvel crossover has clearly proved successful, with even a Fortnite Marvel clothing line now available. For fans who have not had enough of the Marvel extravaganza going on within the battle royale, now is the perfect time to start grinding away on Wolverine’s battle pass challenges.

Fortnite is available now on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
