Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 was the season that introduced players to Medallions. Even though Medallions can be difficult to obtain at first, they're extremely rewarding items when acquired. Fans collect these tokens to get access to special, unique powers. However, in order to balance these items, they have one negative effect.
Fortnite: All New Locations in Chapter 5 Season 3
New POIs have been added to Fortnite thanks to Chapter 5 Season 3, but are these apocalyptic locations worth a visit?
Several mechanics have been come and gone over the years that Fortnite has been active, and this one seems to be here to stay for the rest of Chapter 5. This guide will tell players everything they need to know about Medallions in Chapter 5 Season 3, including how to find them and what they do.
Wasteland Warrior Medallion Locations
There are three Wasteland Warriors on the Battle Royale map: The Machinist, Ringmaster Scarr, and Megalo Don. Each boss has its own Medallion, which means there are three Medallions in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. Players must take down each boss to get their respective Medallion. Here is where players will find each Warrior as well as the loot they will get from eliminating them:
Boss | Loot | Location |
---|---|---|
The Machinist |
| Redline Rig |
Ringmaster Scarr |
| Nitrodrome (fixed) |
Megalo Don |
| Brutal Beachhead |
Ringmaster Scarr is the only Medallion boss that has a fixed location in Fortnite; meanwhile Megalo Don will sometimes at Brutal Beachhead and The Machinist will spawn at the Redline Rig, but they can also be found wandering around the map. The best way to locate a Medallion in Chapter 5 Season 3 is to open the map once the Battle Bus starts its route.
Chapter 5 Season 3 Medallion Abilities
There is only one of each Medallion per match, which means that the player who carries it is the only one who will be able to take advantage of its power throughout the game. Here is the ability that each medallion grants its holder:
- The Mechanist's Medallion: the holder automatically replenishes shields over time
- Ringmaster Scarr’s Medallion: the holder is granted infinite ammo and a small damage buff
- Megalo Don's Medallion: the holder is infused with unlimited Nitro
To balance these abilities, the Medallion's carrier appears on the map marked with an orange circle so that everyone can see their approximate location. The more medallions on them, the smaller the circle, making them a more vulnerable yet intimidating target.
