Chapter 5 Season 3 brought a Mad Max-like post apocalyptic vibe to Fortnite, hence its title "Wrecked." This season vehicles are more important than ever, and they add quite a bit to the chaotic environment of Fortnite Wrecked.
Fortnite: How to Get Nuka-Cola
Fortnite x Fallout sees an iconic staple of the Wasteland come into the Battle Royale map, as Nuka-Cola provides a refreshing healing beverage.
To add to the fun, Epic Games introduced players to vehicle mods in Chapter 5 Season 3, and it fits right in with the rest of this season's gameplay mechanics. This guide will tell players everything they need to know about car mods in Fortnite, including how to find them and how to apply them.
How to Find Vehicle Mods
To add modifications to a gun in Fortnite, players have to visit a weapon bench, which can only be found inside Weapon Bunkers and on the floating Loot Island, meaning they're only available after a certain point of the match. Thankfully, applying mods to a car isn't as limited - it can be done in plenty of places, and they're available like from the get-go.
Fortnite vehicle mods can be applied at Fuel Stations and most of the named locations and landmarks in the wasteland biome in the southern part of the map.
Pea Bois HQ, a landmark located between Redline Rig and Nitrodrome, is one of the locations with the widest variety of vehicle mods on the map.
How to Mod a Car in Fortnite
To apply mods to vehicles in Fortnite, gamers have to drive their car into the box with the desired mod. Once its broken, it will take a few seconds to respawn, but it can be reused freely afterwards.
Players can't remove car mods; however, they can be replaced simply by driving over a different mod box. Nevertheless, gamers who would like to own a car without any modifications will simply have to look for another one.
