Epic Games has issued a hotfix for Fortnite, making several changes to the game, including the removal of an exotic weapon, and the addition of a new healing item and two Reality Augments. Over a month has gone by since the start of Chapter 4 Season 2, and since then, the game has already undergone several changes. Epic Games has released several updates and hotfixes to add content and make some balance changes to improve Fortnite's state of play. The latest major Battle Royale update was v25.11, and it went live on June 27. It added the Repeater Rifle to Fortnite as well as two Reality Augments. Two days after the update's release, a hotfix was released, which removed the Kinetic Boomerang from Fortnite and added the Sharp Tooth Shotgun. This shotgun is quite similar to the infamous Pump Shotgun, but it's better at a distance and has a smaller spread, and its limited magazine size only allows it to shoot four bullets before it must be reloaded.RELATED: Fortnite V-Bucks Prices Are Going Up in Select RegionsNot long after the hotfix, the Fortnite Summer Escape event went live, so players weren't expecting anything new to be added to the game the following Tuesday. Understandably, they were quite surprised when they noticed that a new throwable had been added to the game as well as a couple of new Reality Augment. Gamers can now find the new Slap Splash item in-game, as well as the Splash Party and the Roaming Redeploy Augments.

The Slap Splash item is very similar to the vaulted Chug Splash healable. It can be thrown to heal several players at once; it heals 15 HP and gives gamers an energy boost for a few seconds. The Splash Party Reality Augment is a way to easily acquire Slap Splashes; it's an Exotic rarity item, so it can be quite hard to acquire.

The Roaming Redeploy Augment is a more balanced version of the Aerialist Augment. For those unfamiliar with the Aerialist Reality Augment, it was a fan-favorite in the Fortnite community because it allowed gamers to redeploy their glider whenever they pleased. It was vaulted because it was considered to be quite overpowered. It gave players an unfair advantage as they could quickly move around the map at any time. With the Roaming Redeploy Augment, gamers can only redeploy their glider if they're already immune to fall damage, so it only works under very specific circumstances. For example, if they jump from a Hop Flower or use a zipline.

Fortnite is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
