Dataminers have revealed brand new images of character skins and cosmetics coming to the famous Battle Royale, Fortnite. With the end of Season 4, Epic Games released Season 5 teasers alluding to the rewards, but these leaks give players a first look at what will soon be available.

The Fortnite cosmetics were unveiled by two prominent leakers, VastBlast and HypeX. The first posted various skins for Season 5, including the legendary Mandalorian, Din Djarin, and the gladiatorial inspired Menace. The latter focused specifically on showing off customizable accessories that will be available to players to tweak their characters.

Most will likely recognize the Mandalorian skin, which is an epic crossover with Disney’s popular series of the same name. And in case anyone is worrying, the Mandalorian skin does come with his signature child-like partner, Baby Yoda. However, there are plenty of new skins for players with little interest in the Star Wars universe. According to VastBlast’s leaks, Season 5 will be adding Reese, Mancake, Mave, Kondor, Lexa, and Menace.

But HypeX shows fans that skins are not the only rewards coming to Fortnite for the new season. Based on the datamine, there will be a plethora of cosmetic items to spruce up an individual’s chosen style. From the revealed image, players can look forward to weapons, shields, and other accessories, like moustache for Mancake. Epic Games will also be adding Sapphire and Topaz versions to some of the skins, which should add more variety to the game on top of any possible map changes coming for Season 5.

Fortnite is a game known for including tons of diverse character skins and cameos. That said, the Star Wars themed skin is particularly appealing due to how successful The Mandalorian's stream ratings have been. No doubt there will be plenty of Mandos boosting around the map this season. But the best part is how Epic Games continues to keep the Battle Royale interesting by adding in a host of cosmetic items for players to chase. Other live service games have seen far less effort put in, so it does not seem like support for Fortnite will be dropping anytime soon.

That said, each round of skin updates is going to have highs and lows, and Season 5 will likely be no exception in that regard. While she will likely be popular in her own right, the Lexa skin could be questionable for some players due to her noticeably anime design which differs from the rest. In addition, the Sapphire, Topaz and Zero Point variants may seem like a cop-out when it comes to originality, especially with a subscription service announced for the new Season. Overall though, Fortnite Season 5 is looking to be an impressive new addition to the series.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
