Following a crossover-filled Season 4, Fortnite developer Epic Games has already announced the next licensed character set to appear in the popular battle royale. As it turns out, The Mandalorian himself is coming to Fortnite, and he’s bringing the adorable Baby Yoda along with him.

Following the massive Galactus event that brought Fortnite’s Marvel season to a close, a Season 5 trailer was released that shows off the content of the next battle pass. Troy Baker’s Agent Jonesy rattles off some of the bounty hunters he has hired to add “pure chaos” into Fortnite’s universe, sounding as villainous as can be. While Agent Jonesy’s end goal is ultimately unclear, and the character will surely return in future Fortnite seasons to complete his mission, his announcement of The Mandalorian’s Fortnite arrival is undoubtedly an exciting one.

A Mandalorian Fortnite skin recently leaked, with this trailer quickly confirming that there was truth to the Mando rumors. Lowering himself from a portal using his jetpack, Mando quickly activates Baby Yoda’s crib. The adorable green critter zooms around the corner in his floating crib, peeking out to let fans see him before the trailer cuts away. While it is unclear how Baby Yoda will be used, a safe bet would be that The Child is going to be an emote tied to the skin.

However, the Mandalorian goodness did not end there, as the character appeared once again in the back half of the battle pass breakdown. Mando is seen perch on The Razor Crest, his iconic ship which seems to have crashed somewhere on the island. Soon after, the bounty hunter flies from the ship, using his trademark jetpack. The character’s disintegration rifle from the first season is used as well, and it will be interesting to see if it functions the same in-game. While modders have added The Mandalorian to other games, it seems like this Fortnite version will retain some of the character’s skills.

While the Fortnite servers were down following the Galactus event, they are live once again, meaning players can secure The Mandalorian and the other skins teased by purchasing the battle pass. An armored gladiator named Menace will be unlockable alongside Mancake, a pancake combined with a man. Rounding out the list of characters whose names start with “M” is Maeve, a shapeshifting barbarian.

With more than 15 Fortnite million players experiencing the Galactus event, it is safe to say that the game is not going anywhere. A battle pass featuring bounty hunters is an interesting concept, and with the dynamic duo of The Child and The Mandalorian, it will likely be hard to pass up for Star Wars fans.

Fortnite is free-to-play for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
