Another week means new challenges and new leaks in the ever-popular battle royale, Fortnite. The game’s latest update rolled out last night which added a handful of new cosmetics, map changes, this week’s challenges, and more, with the challenges going live on Thursday.

Season 3 of the massive multiplayer juggernaut, Fortnite, kicked off on June 17 with a ton of changes impacting the map. With any new season, players are eager to upgrade their Battle Passes as quickly as possible with the help of the weekly challenges. Completing in-game challenges reward players with a huge helping of XP. The eight challenges are fairly easy and can earn a player 280,000XP in no time.

Fortnite Season 3 Week 3 Challenges:

  • Search Chests or Ammo Boxes at Misty Meadows (7 Chests)
  • Eliminations at The Authority (3 Eliminations)
  • Collect Floating Rings at Lazy Lake (4 Rings)
  • Dance on top of the Crane at Rickey Rig
  • Deal damage from inside a cornfield at Frenzy Farm (100 Damage)
  • Destroy cars within 60 seconds of landing at Retail Row from the Battle Bus (2 cars)
  • Land a Choppa at the bottom of Steam Stacks
  • Deal damage to opponents at Catty Corner (200 Damage)

When the week officially starts, it may be advantageous to land in places where players need to do damage and get eliminations. Typically, these areas are the most populated right after a new week’s challenges go live since everyone is trying to complete them. This allows other players who prioritize opening chests and getting rings to complete those challenges so you can try to avoid those locations while they’re overpopulated with players fighting for the items.

If players are looking for an easier way to complete the challenges, jump into Team Rumble. The ability to respawn helps tremendously for damage and elimination challenges especially if the safe area happens to land on one of the locations required to complete the challenge. If players get really lucky, you can hit seven chests at Misty Meadows on your way into the battle at The Authority and knock out your elimination challenge as well.

Weekly challenges typically bring back the more casual Fortnite players, however, the game isn’t hurting in terms of popularity and player count. But challenges are a fun way to keep the game interesting if players aren’t so good at surviving the 99 other ruthless combatants.

It’s still early in Season 3, it’ll be interesting to see what Epic has in store for Fortnite as the weeks go on. Although it may not get crazier than flooding half the map and adding Aquaman, Epic surely has another big event in the works for the end of the season.

Fortnite is available now Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
