As Fortnite has become notorious for its impressive amount of crossovers and collaborations, from popular video games and TV series to huge real-life brands and celebrities, fans have been more than excited to see what awaits them in the game's newest season. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 is set to launch tomorrow, and with many teases of an alien and space-related theme, it seems the possibilities are endless.

With hints at an alien theme, fans immediately thought of the supposedly scrapped crossover with Metroid's Samus Aran, which leaked due to the Epic Games v. Apple court case just last month. However, Fortnite has been releasing regular teasers of what is to come in Season 7, including a Superman crossover. And now, it looks like Epic Games is teasing a Rick and Morty crossover for the game as well.

Over on various social media platforms, the official Fortnite accounts posted the latest in a series of short video teases that seem to hint at different wearables, consumables, weapons, and more coming in the game's newest season. Fans immediately noticed that the Butter Robot from the hit adult cartoon Rick and Morty appears in the center of the teaser this time as well, which immediately sent fans into excited disarray.

While the Butter Robot has only appeared in one episode of Rick and Morty, it immediately resonated with fans for the irony of experiencing an existential crisis over its sole purpose being to pass butter at the dining table. Specifically, on Twitter, the new Season 7 tease came with a caption mentioning the Butter Robot as a "transportation bot," which is reportedly capable of transporting the "bone modification liquid" shown in an earlier Fortnite teaser.

So, it looks like the Butter Robot will have something to do with the new Milk item coming to Fortnite. The new teaser also came with a link for the Chapter 2 Season 7 story cinematic set to premiere late tonight at 12 AM PT.

While the Butter Robot making an appearance in Fortnite is interesting, fans are curious to see if anything else from Rick and Morty will show up in the game. The cartoon is no stranger to collaborating with other IPs from various media, including the Rick and Morty-themed items appearing in Rocket League and other games.

Last week, Fortnite players began noticing the appearances of spooky TV sets in their in-game lobbies, which they were also tasked with destroying in matches as part of a new Quest. As Chapter 2 Season 7 rapidly approaches, fans should be sure to complete any final Battle Pass Quests before it's too late.

Fortnite is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
