Each time a new Fortnite season starts, players get to explore another part of its complex storyline. Chapter 5 Season 1 concluded with Jonesy rescuing Peely from the members of the Society. However, when Chapter 5 Season 2, the island was overrun with Olympian gods and creatures. Players can continue exploring the current Fortnite storyline by completing Snapshot Quests.
Fortnite: 8 Best Landing Spots in Chapter 5 Season 3
When dropping from the Battle Bus in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, players should look to these spots for a better chance at victory.
The first part of this story is called Oracle's Snapshot. This guide will show players how they can complete every single quest in The Oracle's storyline so that they can accompany the lore as the season progresses.
Oracle's Snapshot Questline
There are several Scrying Pools on the island, and players can use them to talk to The Oracle and even communicate with some of the Olympian Bosses. The Oracle wants players to show Zeus and the rest of the guardians of the Olympus what humanity is worth, and so it sends them on a difficult quest to achieve this goal.
Quest | How to complete |
---|---|
Stage 1 - Use a Scrying Pool to speak with The Oracle | Players will have to use the Scrying Pools on the map to speak to The Oracle and several other characters throughout this questline. Players can find a Scrying Pool near each of these four locations:
|
Stage 2 - Overcome the Test of Agility at Restored Reels | Gamers will have to race through the golden rings at Restored Ruils in order to complete this stage of the Oracle's Quest. To start, they have to approach the clock and select Start Test of Agility, then players have a maximum of 60 seconds to travel through eight golden hoops. Here is the route they must take: |
Stage 3 - Overcome the Test of Strength at Lavish Lair | Players can start the next trial at the front door of the Lavish Lair building. To complete it they must destroy 15 structures within 60 seconds. |
Stage 4 - Overcome the Test of Wisdom at a Scrying Pool | Players must return to one of the Scrying Pool and pass the Test of Wisdom. The Oracle will ask players "Which food is most appealing to the Gods?"
The correct answer is bananas, which explains why they were vaulted this season - the Gods must've eaten them all. |
Stage 5 - Send Hades a message by eliminating opponents (10) | Next, gamers have to prove themselves to The Oracle by showing off their skill in battle. To do this, they must eliminate 10 opponents. Since they're not required to take down enemy players, gamers can easily complete this quest by taking down hostile NPCs near Altars, Forecast Towers, or Vaults. |
Stage 6 - Use a Scrying Pool to speak to Hades | Fans have to return to one of the four Scrying Pool locations on the map to talk to Hades. |
Stage 7 - Collect a Gatekeeper Shotgun then visit Grim Gate | The Gatekeeper Shotgun is one of the three available shotguns on the Fortnite Battle Royale island; it's pretty common for playing shouldn't have too much trouble trying to find. If not, they can simply purchase one from Meowscles or Jules, two friendly NPCs on the map. |
Stage 8 - Damage Cerberus to assert dominance (150) | To damage Cerberus, they'll have to challenge the Olympian Boss at his Altar in Grim Gates. They must first defeat the packs of wolves before Cerberus shows up. |
Stage 9 - Defeat a character in a duel or eliminate a god | Players can eliminate gods at Brawler's Battleground, Mount Olympus, The Underworld, and Grim Gate. However, they can also duel characters for an easier challenge. Players can duel Myna near Rebel's Roost, Bravo Leader at Snooty Steppes, and Spartan Assassin at the Slumberyard landmark. |
Stage 10 - Use a Scrying Pool to speak with Ares | Gamers must revisit a Scrying Pool to proceed to the next phase of The Oracle's Quests. |
Stage 11 - Collect a Warforged Assault Rifle then visit Pantheon Path | Just like the Gakeeper's Shotgun, the Warforged Assault Rifle is a fairly common weapon in Fortnite Battle Royale. However, if players are having trouble finding one, they can get it from Bravo Leader, Poseidon, or Spartan Assassin. |
Stage 12 - Damage Ares to bring war to the gods (150) | Next, players have to inflict 150 damage to Ares to move on to the next phase of the questline. Gamers can challenge Ares at Brawler's Battleground, but they must first take out the two groups of minions. |
Stage 13 - Assist in collecting an Aspect of the Gods | Gamers or someone on their team must collect an Aspect of the Gods medallion in order to complete this quest. They can do this by defeating one of the Olympian Gods on the map or eliminating an opponent carrying it; players carrying a medallion will appear marked on everyone's map with an orange circle. |
Stage 14 - Use a Scrying Pool to speak with The Oracle | Lastly, players have to return to one of the Scrying Pools to complete the final stage of the quest. |
These quests should be around until the end of the season, so players can take their time; they won't have to rush to complete them. However, they may need to conclude the Oracle's questline in order to unlock Aphrodite's Snapshot Quests.
Oracle's Snapshot Rewards
Back in Chapter 4, Fortnite had Snapshot Quests that allowed players to reveal more information on the storyline and lore of the season. Chapter 5 Season 2's Snapshot Quests work just like that, and they have just as many stages. However, back in Chapter 4, depending on whose Snapshot Quest they were completing, fans would gradually unlock additional services and styles for that character. Unfortunately, it seems that that is not the case this time around.
Players will receive 10,000 XP for each stage of the Oracle's Snapshot Quest that they manage to complete, but there are no Bonus Goals with additional rewards. Once players conclude the 14 stages of the Oracle's Snapshot storyline, they'll only earn a total of 140,000 XP, which is approximately two account levels. Fortunately, this is pretty valuable in the early stages of a new season, as it allows players to unlock the first pages of the Battle Pass.
Since The Oracle isn't a Battle Pass character, it's possible that there could be more exciting rewards once the next set of Snapshot Quests goes live. Players can expect Aphrodite's Snapshot Quests to be released on April 9 at 9 AM ET.
