Without a doubt, Epic Games' wildly popular multiplayer sandbox survival title Fortnite features a wide variety of different skins and cosmetics, with the studio having recently crafted some with basketball themes to celebrate the beginning of the 2018 NBA Finals. Of course, the hybrid construction shooter's fan base has also been highly active when it comes to creating a bevy of fun concept outfits of their own, and one player recently took it upon themselves to produce a gorgeous piece of art that imagines what a skin based on Star Wars' Obi-Wan Kenobi would look like.

As seen in the image below from the Fortnite fan and Redditor known as Noblebatterfly, the Star Wars concept skin in question has been inspired by Ewan McGregor's turn as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, as the character is depicted with short hair and a beard. His pickaxe is also inspired by the figure's blue-hued lightsaber. What's more is that the outfit is named "Highgrounder", which is a reference to a quotation from the film wherein Obi-Wan tells his once-Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, that he has "the high ground", resulting in the latter's defeat in a duel.

While Noblebatterfly's concept art for a Fortnite skin inspired by Obi-Wan Kenobi is decidedly fantastic, it's far from the first instance of a fan generating an idea for a cosmetic based on a pop culture crossover. As it so happens, there have been a plethora of fan-created outfits that reference both television and film, with Breaking Bad, V for Vendetta, and even The Big Lebowski having been used as muses. In fact, one of the most popular pieces crafted by a player was based on the Black Panther villain Killmonger.

All things considered, should Epic Games ever incorporate a Star Wars-related skin into Fortnite, it would surely generate a huge amount of revenue for the video game developer. However, such an occurrence may never come to pass due to the large amount of litigation that's likely involved to license such assets for crossover materials. Then again, the studio recently held a Limited Time Mode that featured Avengers: Infinity War's big baddie Thanos, so it could be possible, especially when one acknowledges that Marvel is owned by Disney, which also owns the Star Wars brand.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
