The new LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival game modes are permanent additions to Fortnite, according to Epic Games. Unlike Fortnite OG and the Among Us-inspired Impostors limited-time mode, players may continue enjoying these game modes in Chapter 5 Season 1 and beyond.

Although content for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 was leaked ahead of the reveal, the Fortnite community was still surprised by the sheer amount of new content being added to the game. Family Guy's Peter Griffin arrived in Fortnite on December 3 alongside Season 1's launch, and players may also look forward to new Solid Snake skins in January 2024. Moreover, Epic Games revealed and released LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival for Fortnite, allowing players to enjoy a variety of game modes alongside the tried-and-true battle royale. Some fans were worried that these game modes would go away at some point during Season 1, but Epic Games reassured fans that this would not be the case.

Epic Games' official Fortnite Twitter account acknowledges the worries of fans about the new game modes potentially being removed. Fortunately, the developers at Epic Games confirm that LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival will not be removed from the game, clarifying that these are essentially brand-new games that work within Fortnite itself. All three games will receive new updates alongside Fortnite proper, so fans can expect new content at some point. Epic Games did not elaborate further on what these updates will entail, however.

Many Fortnite fans on social media are relieved by Epic Games' statement since all three game modes are well received by the community. Other fans are still not satisfied due to the removal of the popular Fortnite OG mode from Chapter 4. Some fans wished that Fortnite OG would become a permanent fixture of the game sooner rather than later.

The future of Fortnite looks very promising with LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival being permanent game modes, and new updates could excite newcomers and returning fans alike. Moreover, Chapter 5 Season 1 can build on the momentum from Fortnite's impressive player count for November 2023 by implementing fan-requested changes and features.

LEGO Fortnite is especially popular in Fortnite in the first season of Chapter 5, so Epic Games may want to outline some of its plans for the Fortnite mode before long. By sharing updates on these popular modes, the developers may build more trust with new players, as Fortnite seemingly continues its resurgence at the end of 2023.
