A presentation delivered by Epic Games and LEGO representatives has revealed crucial information regarding the Fortnite x LEGO collaboration. Fortnite is no stranger to unexpected yet awesome collaborations with big companies. Fans are always eager to hear details whenever something new might be on the horizon, especially since it usually means new content is coming to the battle royale game.

Speculation that Fortnite and LEGO could be joining forces for a crossover event has been going around for a while now in the community. LEGO is all about using one's imagination and putting blocks together to make wonderful creations. Fortnite always had the building aspect with Save the World and the initial Battle Royale concept, and even though Zero Build is now quite popular, building still remains actively crucial, especially considering how many gamers enjoy Creative Mode and using the UEFN software. Taking these facts into consideration, it would make sense to see two franchises that underline the importance of building come together.

This collaboration has now officially been confirmed by both LEGO and Epic Games. Adam Sussman, the president of Epic Games, and Julia Goldin, the LEGO Global Chief Product and Marketing Officer, held a presentation at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and gave details on what fans can expect from this partnership. Sussman talks about how the Metaverse has been an important part of Fortnite for years. The project that the companies are currently working on is called Digital Twin, and it's related to this matter. It'll focus on bringing real-world LEGO creations to Fortnite using Unreal Engine.

The presentation was all about showing the infinite possibilities that arise with online gaming and game creation. Fortnite is the perfect example of this because it has allowed several characters from completely different worlds to unexpectedly come together. Players can come across Master Chief and Kratos in the same Fortnite match, and that in itself is incredible, especially considering the heat that surrounds console wars.

This project will be massive and surely interesting to keep up with. Now that the Fortnite x LEGO collaboration has finally been confirmed, hopefully, gamers will start hearing more details on what's to come soon enough.

Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
