Fortnite's return to its glory days has resulted in a surge of players rushing back to the BR, so it seems this experiment has been a huge success for Epic Games.

Fortnite has enjoyed a massive player count spike since launching the OG map. Fortnite Chapter 1 OG Map Update Leaks

Many Fortnite fans will be happy to see these POIs and vaulted items return to the battle royale. The Floating Cube Island was certainly a memorable POI back in the day, and the Port-a-Fortress was a game-changer for those that didn't care to engage with the game's building mechanics. The return of these fan favorite Fortnite elements could go a long way in ensuring that the BR retains the huge influx of returning players it's currently experiencing.

Fortnite has had to introduce a login queue due to the sheer number of people that have returned to the BR, but hopefully anyone that wants to play this weekend will be able to hop in soon. And if they decide to stick around, it seems that they will have plenty to look forward to in the month ahead.
