Epic’s battle royale has seen many characters over the years, including Geralt from The Witcher franchise, and a large event revolving around Marvel’s Dr Doom. Even the iconic WWE wrestler John Cena has appeared in Fortnite.Gamers who play the free-to-play battle royale shooter are no strangers to seeing in-game tie-ins with other franchises, including the recently announced Fortnite x LEGO collaboration that is in the works between Epic and the Danish toy maker. While the details are being kept vague, both companies announced that the Metaverse will be utilized in some way to bring real-world LEGO creations into the game.According to a tweet posted by Shiina, a notable Fortnite leaker, gamers will soon be able to get content from The Elder Scrolls Online. According to the tweet, a character based on the Berserker has appeared in Fortnite, although it is currently locked to players. This could indicate that a reveal is due imminently. Accompanying the character are two weapons, the first is a large axe from the Elder Scrolls franchise, with the second being an automatic weapon that has been draped in colors similar to the Berserker.
Bethesda is no stranger to lending its IP to Epic, having previously collaborated to bring the Doom Slayer from the DOOM franchise to Fortnite as a playable character. The latest collaboration with the free-to-play shooter is set to build on what has been done before, but this time utilizing characters and equipment from one of Bethesda’s most recognizable franchises is a tantalizing prospect for fans.
Even though this news is not confirmed by either party, this hasn’t stopped gamers from getting excited about the prospect of seeing the Berserker appearing in Fortnite. Although some gamers are already questioning the character choice. In the replies to the leak, folks are discussing whether using Dovahkiin from Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim would have been a more suitable choice due to having a more recognizable appearance for a wider audience.
While the news of the Elder Scrolls Online crossover has yet to be confirmed by either Epic Games or Bethesda, fans are still excited to see another Fortnite team-up. It remains to be seen when the content will be released. As with Microsoft’s collaboration that brought Master Chief to Fortnite, it is expected that the crossover will appear across all platforms when it is made available.
