Fortnite has officially confirmed its Jujutsu Kaisen crossover. This comes shortly after a leaker datamined assets of Jujutsu Kaisen character skins that were coming to the battle royale game.

Since launching in 2017, Fortnite has released unique collaborations with various franchises. Most recently, it revealed a crossover with Futurama, featuring skins based on the fan-favorite trio Fry, Leela, and Bender, along with an exclusive weapon called Bendy's Shiny Metal Raygun. In the past, the Epic Games title partnered with companies like Marvel, Disney, and several animation studios to feature characters in the game.

For their upcoming crossover, Fortnite announced that it's releasing a Jujutsu Kaisen skin line. In a Twitter video, the game showed two characters doing shadow puppets on the wall, which then turned into cursed beasts. The wall then breaks, and reveals sorcerer protagonists Satoru Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji Itadori, and Nobara Kugisaki. In a follow-up tweet, Fortnite revealed that the Jujutsu Kaisen collab will drop in version 25.30, which is believed to roll out next week.

Many Fortnite fans expressed their excitement for the skins, sharing that they couldn't wait to play their favorite Jujutsu Kaisen characters in the game. Meanwhile, a few started requesting for other anime collabs in Fortnite, such as Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man.

Fortnite's Jujutsu Kaisen crossover comes at an opportune time as the anime premiered its second season, where a portion of it focuses on Gojo's backstory. Although the game hasn't revealed if the update would include exclusive Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired cosmetics and weapons, the trailer did show Yuji using his cursed energy and Nobara's metal hammer and nails. It would be interesting to see if Fortnite would incorporate these abilities, and if they would be just as broken as Goku's Kamehameha from the Dragon Ball crossover.

According to some leakers, the battle royale game is said to have more fun crossovers coming in the future, but many of them don't have release dates yet. One such leaked collab was Fortnite x Doctor Who, which is reportedly still in the works and coming later this year. Of course, Fortnite fans would have to take these rumors with a grain of salt for now since Epic Games could still make changes between now and then.

Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
