The gods of Olympus come to Fortnite with Chapter 5 Season 2, bringing forth godly powers and mythical abilities. The Myths & Monsters season of Fortnite provides a bounty of rewards and powerful items to aid in the eternal fight to be the last one standing among 99 other players, and the Thunderbolt of Zeus might help to make things a little easier when it comes to thinning the herd. Besides, becoming Zeus by controlling the lightning is like being the King of Gods himself, providing intense power and glory.

Fortnite: How to Get the Mythic Huntress DMR

Zeus is a powerful boss that players can encounter in Fortnite's Chapter 5 Season 2, but his Mythic Huntress DMR is worth it.

Players can get their hands on the Thunderbolt of Zeus, and even carry multiple of them, so it's best to know just how that's possible, and where players can pick them up, to ensure a shocking time for any that oppose the player who wields the very lightning harnessed by Zeus himself in Fortnite's Battle Royale.

Where To Get The Thunderbolt Of Zeus

For such a powerful Mythic item, it's certainly easier to obtain than others. Players will be able to find themselves the Thunderbolt of Zeus in a few different ways, but the most efficient and guaranteed way is to eliminate Zeus, found in Mount Olympus. Upon his elimination, he will drop a Thunderbolt of Zeus. Alternatively, a much safer option, but limited to spawn rates, is to locate an Olympus Chest or an Underworld Chest, which can be found at Mount Olympus and The Underworld in random chest spawning locations. Upon opening these chests, players might be lucky to guarantee a Thunderbolt of Zeus. The third and final way is to open Rare and normal Chests. Although this is the rarest method of obtaining the weapon, it's still fairly safe to not get eliminated and still get XP.

How To Use The Thunderbolt Of Zeus

  • Damage Per Hit: 40

The Thunderbolt of Zeus is one of the most unique Mythic weapons in Fortnite and certainly brings a lot of charm and power. Players will need to equip the Thunderbolt of Zeus in order to use it, and upon pressing the fire button (R2/Right-Click), the player will leap into the air and charge up a Thunderbolt, hurling two in rapid succession, and then finishing off with a charged third. These blasts can be aimed, and they will impact the ground, creating an area of effect that deals 40 damage per target hit. This can deal up to 120 damage. Players are limited to 3 charges, and these charges do not refresh, meaning they can fire 9 thunderbolts in total before they need to search for another.

It's worth noting that players are in a vulnerable state whilst using this weapon, as they can be attacked whilst in the air throwing thunderbolts. It's best to use this weapon when opponents are in a cluster, as the area of effect damage can injure them all, and perhaps even eliminate them. In a 1v1 situation, it's best to keep these thunderbolts holstered, as they shoot out fairly slow, and players that are quick on the draw might be able to easily immobilize and even eliminate the player wielding the Thunderbolt of Zeus.
